this isn't a dilemma. just take it.
i've worked at a handful of these places and they're all the same. customer/employee theft is rampant in these parts. It's a big free for all in those places, the only deterant is that sometimes there are actually cameras in those black globes, or better yet, sometimes there is actually someone watching the cameras. like once in a blue freakin moon.

The employee won't get shit on because the error was probably due to poor training and/or general poor management of the store anyways.

What im tryin to say is stuff goes missing left in right in those places.

technically, if you have already told them you have your tv and they still want to give you one. . it's not stealing. Just record the next phone conversation and if they still try to send you one you'll be aok. Just make sure to say "if you want to send the tv to me for free, go ahead"

After reading this thread, I think the only places I will shop at now are Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Future Shop and other big box stores. I will also make it my mission to steal from the mom and pop shops whenever I can. If I had a little brother I would push him over and steal his lunch money too!

They have an allowance for stolen or "lost" items, its called shrinkage expense. It is tax deductable and so they can go fuck themselves. Nameless, faceless corporations are not included in karma. Especially if they are stupid enough to keep calling you after you told them you already had it.

this dillema u speak of is quite simple in my opinion, this is not your dillema it is the stores, the store made a mistake and if that means u get more stuff so be it.

For example if u buy an item without shopping around and get ripped off it is your fault, not the salesmans, who is just doing his job.

As a matter of fact i can go over to google finance right now and get a stock quote on Best Buy and get all the pictures of the Senior Management along with their Bio's and salary. Just because you think its cool to put down "the man" doesn't mean its a victimless crime.
