What most of you people don't understand about the Crawford situation, is that the players didn't like him and they refused to play 100% for him because he was abusive and when he would give instructions and plays certain people wouldn't listen because the respect factor was low. It has happened to me personally in hockey, if you quietly have your middle finger to a coach the whole team suffers. Nonis is even friends with the guy, he didn't want to fire him.. but he had to.

I knew as soon as Quinn got fired, Crawford would go shortly after, there's no way Nonis could sit on this guy after both LA and Toronto fired their coaches because they didn't make it into the big show. On that note, Crawford wasn't the only problem with this team. I did think it was his time to go, coaches really have about a 5 year life span with teams before the players start tuning them out. Crawford was done here, if not by the players, by the media. What to do next? Well good ol' Bert has got to go. Sorry. Way to much baggage there, he's got great trade potential for some reason though. There's probably a line-up of gm's on Vancouvers door step, and great! If he goes to another team and lights it up, oh well.. he's not going to do it here again. I used to hate Jovo, but, he's grown on me, give him the C and re-sign him, take the C off Naslund who, although he's a great player, hasn't cut it as a captian. Trade Cloutier. Sorry guys, he's gotta go too. Auld has proven he's pretty damn good, but not a #1. Clouts has proven to be nothing but inconsistent. So, trade him for another #1 (Biron!). Get Auld playing 30 games next year, but bring in a proven #1. Morrison. Hmm.. keep him for another year? No, I can't see them doing that. Now if we get rid of Bert and Mo, that gives us a TON of cap room. Sign the twins, for whatever they're asking, sign carter (if he's not asking a ton) Bring in two fast players around Nasi, and holy shit, you've got 2 fucking awesome lines (almost, 2 number one lines) Whew! That's my take anyways.. |

I agree with everything u just posted except for giving Jovo the 'C'. I don't think he has deserved it yet. Even though he has put up great numbers I still don't see Vancouver being his team yet.
Give Naslund an actual number 1 center like a doug weight player and Naslund will start scoring 40+ goals again. He still has a year or two of elite play and he can get back to it. Proof look at the first half but than he kinda just stopped trying. I wonder what was holding him back eh? |

Yep if morisson had more finish or even shot the puck more could lead to rebounds u name it.
unfortunatly it seems morrison best days are gone. He can't even score more than 15 anymore. He was never really a number one center anyways. Maximum potential was a second A centermen |
