If people just start things with their actual habits/expectation in mind then it's far more realistic. That way if either is "accustomed to _____" and too high maintenance then it's obvious from day one, and there isn't likely to be a second date at all. |

are there really responsibilities for being a gf/bf? i thanked my boyfriend a few weeks ago for driving me to school and he blurted out "its okay its my job to do so"... i smacked him really hard and to this day he still apologizes for saying it. i dont want my boyfriend to think he needs to pick me up..especially when im in seattle (to link back to myles story).. i want him to want to pick me up..so he could see me. am i being unreasonable? hmmm.. if there is a easier way for me to get to point a --> b without my boyfriend thinking its a chore, i would pick the easier way..and NO i wont get mad at him for not picking me up. fuck responsiblities..

I dont consider it a job. I call it being polite! Maybe I was raised different the other guys my age. But on the first date, the guys picks up the cheque. Get her chair, opens the doors, beat up the drunk guy who trys to fondle her! You know, basic politness!
If Ive been dating someone for a while, and we go out and she wants to pick up the cheque, thats fine too! I dont mind, but the first one should be on the guy! Its not our job... but ... hummm... nevermind, im not going to get into this one! |
