I actually have a really hard time going back and reading some of the things I wrote in the past.

Some of the fragments of my various journals are so painful to read, I usually have to read the ones from the past in sections because it's so overwhelming.

However, I think they ultimately reflect growth and progress so it can be refreshing.

I still write a lot, I find myself spending a lot more time writing blogs these days too which is neat because you can get feedback and hear different takes on your writing.

Max, you should never stop writing

(also I often forget to write in it in the first place!)

Yet I must admit that my travel journal (from my trip to Europe) is AMAZING because I wrote in it every day, and scrapbooked my tickets/mementos/doodles into it during the trip too! I love opening it up to have a peek at what I was thinking, which country I was in etc. so good for memories!
I was going to post the EXACT same thing. Please get out of my brain. (J/k!)

But yeah I haven't been able to keep a journal except when on vacay... I occasionally blog about really meaningless things that run thru my mind, and on occasion then I think I'm going to burst, I right a blog and set it to private.

I would like to get back into visual journalling and collage. I think I've got the time and headspace for it, so I just need to clear off my desk for a workstation and round up all my boxes of materials. This is a very positive time for me, with lots of personal growth. Besides, Tara just made me this amazing collage, so that should get the ball rolling!

My journal is more a sketch book. Full of doodles and misc. stuff. I write paragraphs about this and that from time to time in it. Stuff if Im happy or mad. Little mental notes. Things to remember. Colors, Cooking stuff, quotes, sayings, numbers, whatever comes up!
Its just a collolation of my mental shit on paper!

I used to use an online journal. But I never updated it on a regular basis. Plus got annoyed if I wanted to write about someone and then they would read it. So I made one on my own (old) website and made it private. But meh stoped using it. The book is good enough for me!

not really a journal, but the last few years i've made a concerted effort to jot down random ideas.
stuff Like lyrics, ideas for inventions, ideas for various creative projects, cooking ideas, songs/movies I like, random lists and sometimes just observations which i felt were worth writing down.
