Today I went to the Jumbo Restaurant: The floating restaurant. The experience is pretty sweet, however the actual food is nothing to brag about.
Ordered 15 dishes between the 3 of us hahaha oh man. Afterwards I went to Stanley and checked out their outdoor market and picked up some cool stuff. I'm starting to get used to this heat thank god, still sweating more then I'd like but.. meh. Did some shopping at the Pacific Place and wow, this mall was great. 3 floors and it was literally like shopping in the diffrent classes in life. The top floor had the LV, Prada, Gucci and so on. The second floor had the nicer things while the first floor was all about the armani xchange, zara, and so on. The disparity was uncanny! I've gotten a couple of the people around me hooked on sudoku! hahaha I love the puzzle! Had a quick dinner then we went off to "the peak" a view looking over top the wonderful Hong Kong Island. Pictures are below! BTW, I have 5 mosquito bites on my left ear, 2 on my right ear, 1 under my left eye, 3 on my left hand, 1 on my right hand, 2 on my left leg, 2 on my right leg, 1 on the back of my neck. A grand total of 17 bites in 3 nights cause I have no idea how many times I got bit tonight on that mountain lol. Bought a mosquito killer thingy so that should work! Bev, I got the email thanks!

My day did not start until the end of the Oilers triumphant game aginst the Sharks!
Afterwards we took a cab to another shopping mall and man this guy was driving the Indy, reaching top speeds of 150 KMH Bought some clothes and blazers, then went off to the peak restaurant where Amanda's cousins uncle had their silver wedding. FOOD WAS SOOO GOOD. Drank what I believe was 7 or 8 glasses of champagne before we jet off to LAN KWAI FONG HOLY CRAP.... SO DRUNK... met some Aussie that took the liberty of making everyone pisssssed drunk. Amanda will never forget this night! lol. but yeah, lots of partying, got macked on by a guy, ummm there's more.. tomorrow was suppose to be tourist day... looks like it will now be rest day hahah... aiya! Gonnnnna puke sooooooon! Lan Kwai Fong is all bars / pubs! I want a "disco" club! lol stephen c - i have a better pic but FNK won't let me upload it... it's almost 3 megs lol. SLEEEEPY TIME!

 i never been to HK but i have been to China/Taiwan,,, in the summer time the temperature goes up to 35c on average. the good thing is that they have goody cheap ice creams, but the only bad thing is only when it rains. Last edited by vaporize; May 11, 06 at 04:09 PM.

Today = Aftermath of Last night.
Loathed around all day and did absolutely nothing except eat. TOmorrow will be the tourist day, with the big buddha and whatever else we can do. Not much to really say except for... GO OILERS!

So, Today consisted of walking up the big ass buddha, this thing is massive.
I think about 40 meters tall, took about 300 steps to walk up to it... Afterwards, we did some shopping in Mong Kok where I spend a stupid amount on market goods hhahaa... Bought the best watch ever for 3dollars cdn, ipod speakers, haggling with the shops was intresting lol... Today was the coolest day in a while thank god... I will be buying cell phones momentarily... My god, you can get so many things here for less then 10 bucks cdn, it;s great!

My day started with very little sleep but it was worth it to hear my Oilers come back from 2-0 to win 6-3.
So, obviously my day started off great! I went to the big buddha! My goodness this thing is big. almost 40 meters tall. Took about 300 steps to talk up to it though. Took a bunch of pics which will be uploaded later! I ate Mcdonalds for lunch and had the rice burger lol. I took my fortune as well and asked if I will be rich and it said just stay on the path i'm on now! Afterwards, I went to Mong Kok and wow.. the shopping there was intense.. I went to the "women's night market" I bought so much useless junk including - Ipod Speakers for less then 10 bucks. a couple of watches whic hwere less then 3 bucks. lighters, throws haha.. so much crap.... baby milo shirts too! Haggling is awesome! Anyone want anything? they have fake rolex's for 300 hk which works out to be like 40 or so.. and i'm pretty good at haggling hahaha Anyways, tomorrow will consist of more shopping and the temple street night market.
