I am not calling a classy restaurant and asking prices, cause that just doesn't seem classy to me. So I am tapping into personal experiences. Lastly, I go to the Keg from time to time with my mother. It is where we go when we are too lazy to cook. Everytime we do, the experience and food is nothing more than sub-par at best. Why go to somewhere that I have been time and again, that has let me down? |

okay..they specialize in steaks, then why do they have other things in the menu. what is the different between a steakhouse and a restaurant. they call themselves a steakhouse so ppl will look at their high ticketed items first like their steaks. yes they have spent time at their test kitchen on their steaks, but it doesnt mean they have perfected them.. some may like them, so might not. a steakhouse is just a label

"I'm looking to bring down roughly 20 people to your restaurant and have heard really good things about it. Are you able to accomodate a group of that size? <yes> Okay great... and how do the bills work - as a group with gratuity included or seperate bills for each with the same etc.? <whatever answer here> ... And finally for budget reasons, what is the average price of your steak entrees? Lobster, etc? Great... I'll be in touch soon" Super easy and put like that, they would be more than happy to answer all of those questions. |

Bogart's Chop House, Mortons, Hy's, Gotham and for Surf and turf.... The Hamilton Street grill, Seawall bar and Grill and Stone Grill are great spots for half cooked cow.
Entree prices range from 10.95 - 50.00. saying that I eat at the keg more often than any of these spots because I work late and it has a full menu open till 1:00am 7 days a week. |

Avana I use this website a lot at my job http://www.diningoutguide.com/
it usually has menu prices listed for most respectable restaurants across the lower mainland. |

Hy's Mortons or Gotham are your best bests but you're looking at a hefty price tag - at least $50 for a basic meal per person.
Gotham is all a la carte (don't remember Hy's or Mortons) so you're looking at $30+ for just the steak. Any additional fixins like veggies or potatoes and you're going to have to pony up some more cash. On an off-topic, does anyone know where to get good steak taretare around here? |
