I listen to dnb; it is how I was introduced to electronic music. I love jungle.

About the music? About the clothes? Is it an attitude? I don't really know what makes a junglist a junglist. I guess it is a bit of all. Take a different crowd for example. Top 40 crowd; they dress a certain way, talk a certain way, listen to certain music; all this creates an attitude.
Same with jungle I guess. I am a bit of a junglist. It is my first choice for music and my favorite scene to be in.

i think the fact that you need to classify and clarify that you are a junglist means you are not content with who YOU are. it all seems a bit too hip to me. you like the music...great....how the fuck does it change who you are as a person?

I love drum n bass with all my heart n soul, but I hate terms like junglist and raver; all that shit is wack.

I'd like to think that the people this kind of music attracts are more than one-dimensional caricatures and walking cliches.

I'm completely content with who I am. And for the record, I did not say anywhere in this thread that I had any desire to be classified as a junglist. I simply set grounds for an intelligent discussion using the jungle scene as an example, since it was the topic of the initial discussion.

The real problem is people's belief that the everything from the clothes you wear, the way you dance, to the slang terms you use all matter when you are to be accepted into a certain music scene.

I thought the point of music was freedom of expression?
