Hah what a night... A little confusion at the door at the beginning but that got sorted out quick... The mainstage was absolutely amazing... Good choice on using R.M.S for sound staging and rigging. There main production equipment is amazing.... My eye's lit up when I saw the line array's and bins.... The sound was so damn crisp, even down to the porta potties you can hear it from that location nice and clear. DNB/Breaks stage was pretty sweet with those cerwin vega bins. The house stage unfortunantly seemed to have alot of audio problems when ever I passed by. But when it seemed like it was ok it was pounding. Really didn't hang at the trance stage other then take a few pics here and there..
Now onto the Performers that I enjoyed the most Snoop Dogg: God fuckin damn, I kinda relived the moment when I was 12 and owned Doggystyle on Tape and used to play it all the time... Outstanding performance. Highstake's was pretty good. Enjoyed there performance as well. Bubba Sparxx was alright... but at that point the whole crowd just wanted to see snoop I wasn"t to impressed with Swollen Members to be quite honest, something seemed to be lacking. Shocore: Wow everyone was happy when they got off stage. When he introduced "Hal Heffner" everyone was like "Ok and who the hell is he?" seemed out of place for the event. Good band none of the less but certainly it didn't fit the environment. Donald Glaude and Jelo.... Man those guys are machines. Seemed like they were having a hell of a time up there even when there was as little as 8 people to see there set. Epoc Live... Now if none of you people didn't see this duo then you missed out on something special. Live DNB at its finest. A very unique set... Would be killer if someone brought them again and also have kj sawka perform as well :). Capital J... Holy fuck.... He literally made me hold my head with my hands in disbelief.... The tracks he through down and how he handled that mixer... God fuckin damn... Its nuts... Nuts I tell ya... All the locals that I saw were also greet as well. Shoutouts: Tim: Hey man thanks alot for getting me in :) Justin: Dude where the fuck did you go? Tigran: Killer set. Rocking it as usual. To bad it was an opening alot Dmitri And Nomes:Good seeing you guys Rest of the tent city crew in back of the breaks/dnb stage: What we all put our 7 tents up in like 5 minutes??? lol Asylum Ave. Crew: Great seeing you guys with your little tent setup and all. You guys have an awesome studio in new west. Quality shit right there.. Security guy over by breaks stage: Thanks alot bro you rock... Shayna aka Trixx: It was a pleasure meeting you. Cya at dubforms! Pat: No high fiving anymore? Angel: "Nudge Nudge" RustyBob: Great to meet you. You gotta get a bag or something for that camera though instead of hiding it under your tshirt lol... Dan: What are you some type of Raver or something? lol In all it was a pretty good night... I guess some of the vendor's didn't anticipate the amount of sales that they made. Most of them sold out by midnight. Anyone see that fight in front of the dnb/breaks stage while capital J was spinning?? crazy shit. Thats all I have to say at the moment

and yea, i want to say that no matter how many snobby local djs hate on capital js wompy jumpup sound or unimpressive production hes still a fucking amazing dj, and a damn pleasure to watch. and he plays grime. so lighten up.

i think capital j is one of the best drum and bass canadian djs and he only plays the best when it comes to dnb and jungle thanx to everyone that stuck around for as long as possible before running to snoop dog with anticipation. i had alot of fun playing and thanks for watching my set pops glad you were able to catch it. every year it gets better and everyone said everything that was possible, but props to ramtin christine and my bro josh of course as well as the people behind the scenes you made an amazing rave into a crazy event good times.
and dont forget kids a "spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go down"

That was too much fun. . u know ur havin a killer nite when u have problems climbing up the 3 foot stage ur about to play aT.

when you smashed it and dropped the floor thumper was one of the highlights of my night for shure! haha greap performance bro. anyways my full review..... i was expecting to miss snoop dogg based on my schedule.... i got there around 11 expecting a 2 hour lineup. so i figured i would try my luck at sneaking in (i had a ticket i just couldnt miss snoop right) yea that failed.... so i tried the front door. lineup at 20 minutes tops... so big ups on the security and gate organization this year for shure!! kay so im not even at the first stage yet, and the first person i talk to is some roid monkey walks up to me with like half his face freshly bruised and he says "eh bro know where i can find some snow?" im thinkin holy shit this is gonna be a gongggshow. i get in just as i heard a random classic jungle track dropped on. i ran there and threw down to that set for a good half hour-45 minutes before even walking past the jungle stage.... so far im thinkin this night can only get better if i havent even left the first stage yet... and it did only get better. not only did i see every set i wanted to see (kay most of em) but every one i saw far surpassed my expectations... by the time the freestylers had come on, i was knee deep in gin n juice, so i flailed extra hard. they played a pretty good set, although some of the mixing was shoddy. good track selection tho for the most part. i brocked out to most of brukouts set:amuse: the track selection was right up my alley as usual. i think i saw like a whole 20 or 30 minutes of snoop... ive heard all those songs more times than i can count, so i just had to see him and hear his band. his band rocked it. i loved the bass player for shure. haha when he played gin and juice i totally chugged my gin n juice. it was memorable to say the least. i got that part of the set on video too. kay then the ext thing i remember is epoc live comes on..... by the first 20 minutes of my set i was pretty much too mangled to dance properly.... but i remember that i had never heard anything like it and it was amazing. she was a wicked mc. she never tried to overpower the music. she only sang along to it and gave it a really wicked vibe. its also notable that their sound selection in OUT OF THIS WORLD. DEFFINITELY one of the best shows of the night, we MUST BRING EOPC OUT TO VAN AGAIN. WE MUST! near the end of epoc, i was sittin on the hill there, and some dude comes up and hes like "bro can u open this baggy for me? im too fucked up" so i did. hes like "MOTHERFUCKER!! you fuckin dumped all my special k out!!" uhh no sorry buddy it was empty before you gave it to me... "fuck you man you dumped out my K! i should beat the shit out of you" yah watever. peace. about then, i went to my exes tent.... and because of it i missed alll of capital J. im kinda choked about it now. but it seemed like a good idea before... i woke up near the start of chemical djs so i went and partied there as long as i could. which was close to 1... so even though i missed the set i was looking forward to the most, it was still EASILY the best party of the year. and i doubt we will have a party this good for a long time.... lets say.... till SUMMER BREAK 2008?!?! big up mr and mrs silverwaters and big up everyone behind the scenes. thanks for throwin a down right smasher!! I hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did!!
