ALRIGHTY THEN....
Thanks to Josh, Kristine and Stimmy J. Josh you are the man yessssss i owe you, thanks again!!! twas a crazy party as to be expected. I didn't get messed up really last night, although i tried hard, yet still time flies and the sun is up before you know it. I liked the stage setups as they were all about the sound, tons of speakers and bass. i think there was like 8 bass bins at the breaks stage. The Freestylers kicked some serious ass mixing a lot of the new with a little of the old. Kraig and Precise were dope of course. Epoc Live was cool, trippy to see something totally different... sometimes i didnt know if they were playing music they've already written or if they were just playing off of each other the whole time. Live drum and bass was nuts, now we just gotta see pendulum play as a band here. Snoop was alright aswell, i really liked the sound of his live band. i didn't step foot at the house stage once. Trance stage was sounding pretty sweet around 4 - 4:30, still that was about all the time i spent there. Capital J ripped it up like always, and i ended the night with some Chemical DJs in the morning. Josh and Justin were crazy as usual. Justin had a hard time climbing onto the stage, haha i had a good laugh at that. i guess that pretty much sums my night up, time for a power nap. Later |

this pretty much sums it all up. Lol.
I'd like to personally thank Silverwaters for hooking up ImportShowoff on 90.1FM tickets to the show. We had an amazing time. I wasn't impressed with the "VIP Upgrade for $40" but I worked my magic at the door and got through without having to pay $40 or stand in line. The weather was holding up as I entered around 10. I head over to the hip-hop stage eagar to see Classified. Boy did he rock the crowd. Cutting the Canadian anthem into his set really pumped up the crowd. Classified is truly underrated and is one of Canada's best. I hope to see him in Vancouver again. After Classified I mingled the stages dancing to all the varies fillers till Bubba & Swollen. They enter at seperate times and do a set of there hits. Bubba is quite amazing live. Can really rhyme clear and has a good stage precense. As for Swollen. Same old shit from them. A high energy set that got all the locals going crazy. Even though Snoop was 30min late, he finally came on. Most of the people gathered as Snoop enters the stage. For the next hr 45min he does a medly of all his hits. And I mean all of his hits. Everything from Gin & Juice, 187 to his remix of 50's P.I.M.P. Joints are going off, women are screaming and everyone is just going nuts. His live band combined with a DJ really makes his show shine. The sound system was flawless getting the perfect mixture of bass and snoops voice. And the most amazing part was his hype man wasn't all over the songs. It was mostly snoop spitting his lines. At the end of his set, I was happy. Snoop did his job. Silverwaters did there job. Big up. ^.^b. After snoop I headed over to the breaks stage to cheeck out the freestylers. Dropped a crazy set with some of there huge bangers. They dropped a lot of songs from there newest album, Adventures in Freestyle. I missed the 1st half of there set, so I don't know if they dropped Get A Life & Bomb Funk MC's. Sadly the ground @ the breaks stage was so bumpy it made it difficult to dance. But I still had a blast listening to Painkiller when it came on. :D Either way, great hip-hop stage and breaks stage. The weather held up till around 5ish, which was good since i left around that time. Traffic in and out of the venue wasn't too bad. Lineup would have sucked if I had stand in the entire line. Thanks to all the artists and Silverwaters. `Tim Last edited by dj4mula; Aug 19, 07 at 03:20 PM. |

this show was amazing i walked up to the main stage after a huge long line up b4 getting in, and my mouth dropped. I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT B4 EVER, out of my 10 years of partying. its was like a concert in the middle of nowhere. i couldnt even let it sink in that that many ppl were there. i have never seen such a large crowd at one stage in my life. lighting was awsome. sound was amazing. the djs were right in it. i had tones of fun with everyone at the breaks/dnb stage most of the night. and the rain went unnoticed as i had way to much fun. many happy faces and the turn out was awsome.
all i can say is JOSH IM SO PROUD OF YOU and how far i have seen u come to get to this point. i was just sitting there as i was watching snoop thinking, josh must be so happy right now and how much i wanted to come give u a great big hug:) i have seen Silverwaters grow from its little personal parties 4 years ago to this. all the hard work and heart has made this show successful. and trust me josh u have alot of heart<3 thanks for having me so very much. i hope everything ran smoothly and u have had some rest |

It was a good night, at least once I got in. The line up was ridiculous. I coulda walked in VIP, but the people I was with didn't want me to ditch them. I chilled with some cool people in line, but I hopped a fence right when I walked up to the line, and I was still in line for over 2 hours. It could've been worse though, as the people I chilled with in line were in line for over four hours. When I seen the line I expected more like 30 minutes. There were a bunch of fights that almost broke out in line, and some idiots kept trying to take down the fence into the field. I'm sure that didn't help things out at all.
Once I was in though, wow. The main stage was sick! Huge, huge crowd too. The other three stage setups I didn't find to be anything special, but it certainly worked. Sound was great at all the stages though, and basically no sound bleeding, as the stages were all spaced out pretty good. The crowd died down in a hurry once Snoop was done, which was a bit disappointing, but I kind of expected that. It was totally not a raver crowd there for the most part. Snoop Dogg was sick, just sick. That's the first time I got to see him live, and it was worth the trip to Chilliwack. Didn't really get any good pictures of him, since no one wanted to let me get up close to the stage to snap a good shot. I don't blame them, I wouldn't :cheesy: Donald Glaude vs. DJ Jelo was a sick set, as was what I caught of the Freestylers. I caught part of Precise vs. Kraig as well, and it was solid as always. I was actually suprised at the lack of people at the house stage for most of the night. The trance stage was definitely the most packed stage after the main stage. I caught part of Capital J's set, and it seemed pretty solid to me, but I was pretty much done by that time. All in all, it was a wicked party. Props to Silverwaters for putting on a great show. Pics will be up shortly, although I didn't take as many as I would've liked. I was kind of paranoid about using the cam too much in the rain, 'cause I'd be pretty choked if I broke it. |
