the old forum was a mess. This is a major improvement in usability. The forums are structured in a way that makes sense.

It will just take some time for you guys to get used to it, but you'll like it eventually.

As for load times, i'm the guy who deals with these issues. I'll rag on myles till the day i die about things like load times...and he'll rag on me till the day he dies about adding jazz & bling.

I haven't bugged him much about the load times yet, because we've got soo much to do, but eventually i'll be going through template by template and cleaning up the HTML/CSS/Images to help everything load faster. We just needed to get it up first and then tweak it. It'll probably take another two weeks until the bugs are worked out...and maybe i can spend a week or so fixing the load times....We fixed a major IE bug yesterday which improved load times immensely.

You guys will probably never be getting the old layout back, but maybe we can add a uber simple layout in the future with out all the jazz. That's something i'd use myself. But we've spent days and days tweaking the templates, it would probably take us about 2 solid weeks of work to create even a simple one. Not a priority.

As for allowing a fluid layout, that might be a possibility in the future, since i don't think it would break all much and would be reasonably easy to implement...and if you want it, you can use it, but i doubt it'll be the default.

i didnt understand the new karma thing at first i didnt even realize i was giving karma when i clicked it cause it said u have already blah blah so if you got bad karma from me im sooo sorry i just thought it was broken lol i was clicking everything.(i was thinking it would still let you post a comment) as it stands now i get it it took about 10 min hahahahah

i feel bad for all the djs who have to redo everything:(

They dont, there is a sticky in the DJ Profile forum which is read only, all the old profiles are in there....

If they want people to be able to post in their Dj profiles. They will have to redo them.

i just cant really load sites that have pictures, and i often get "errors on my page", if it worked fast and didn't boot me off, id have no problems.
I tried for like five miuntes to look at the "printed hoody" thread, but soon gave up.

I agree with myles in that you can't stay the same, sites have to grow...creatures of habit die hard. I don't dislike it, i just wish it was as efficent as the old one. I'm sure i'll get use it, or find better ways to waste time. :D

And myles, i quite enjoy your "new fnk" picture, V. suiting.

Load times will be improved once everything is added. Give it a couple weeks. It's pissing me off too.

yeah a few other ppl i know well got this message aswell. its not as simple as 20$ anymore i guess:( really sucks. i think it should only apply to new events who havent already had the contract before the changes. but i might be wrong
