Apparently swing kids owns the word "Spooky" throughout the entire universe. You MUST NOT use that word in any what shape or form unless you have sent royalties directly to Avana...
On another note however.... lets get real. I can understand your argument given if the party was thrown locally and such. But as far as I am concerned atilla is not throwing any more parties out here anymore. I also heard he moved back to europe anyways. So there is ZERO competition. |

Ok if you have a copyright however it is stored within a database that is open to the public. Whether its the CIPO database that we have in canada or whether if it has to do with the copyright database in the united states anyone can look for copyrights or patents in various forms. Are you sure your not refering to a business license refering to "spooky" that is registered with the city? After all if one go's to search "Swing Kids" then you will notice that the
copyright is registered to some major film studio in california. And if you search up "Swing Kids Entertainment" it comes up with nothing... So no I don't need to come to your shop. The copyright number is about 10 digits. I'm pretty sure it would be easy for you to write it down on paper and post it :) |

..... That is not a copyright.... Its a Trademark....
Do you even know the difference by law as to what a Trademark is opposed to a Copyright? A trademark only identifies the service's and/or goods of one party from those of another. Now when it comes down to a copyright. It PROTECTS the originator's work/creation etc.... So SPOOKY is a registered as a trade mark. And based under the "Claims" its only distinguished or regonized in Canada..... I don't understand what the bitching is about since its only a trademark that is recognized in Canada... When the event is being held in europe.... |
