I SAY SO TOO! I'm working Saturday during the day, but if you aren't busy on Sunday during the afternoon/evening I'm surely down. You must teach me how to be a proffessional disc jockey. Either my house or yours, its all good. I'll have Techs. Not Laurens, but a different set. techs are goooooooood :c-tard: |

Julien...I can understand the Plaza thing...its kind of why I decided against going to Play for New Years Eve...still, for me the talent line up is enough to justify another kick at the 'ol Plaza Rave cat...hopefully U decide that the flail is worth the venue...

PLaza parties aren;'t what they used to be.....i remember when you'd be standing outside in the lineup and it would be LOUD!!!
The only thing that i'm still likeing about the plaza parties is the fact that the big name djs will be seen more at them. |

Wett was my first plaza party.
That was a good night. I got there and saw that there were 1,000 people infront of me, each one ready to rave harder than the next. I was already rollin' when I got the the venue. At first I thought that I had made a big mistake, but the perma-smile on my face and the augmented feelings of hapiness made the wait more than just bearable, it was almost fun. I could hear the window paynes being beaten to shit by violent bass. I had no clue what the inside looked like, as I had never been inside the bulding before. As the line finally inched forward and was in sight of the doors I could barely stand it. The deep, heavy basslines were still thumping, and there were atleast 1,500 people behind me waiting in anticipation to feel "the bass, the beats, the melodies". Finally I made it past the first Genesis bitch and I started up towards the doors, where a couple of hot asian girls greeted me with smiles. I don't know if they were actually smiling, or if I was just imagining things. I was high as fu*k! They took my ticket and aimed me towards Genesis bitch number two. I was a little nervous during the search/molestation, because I couldn't stand still. My feet were shuffling uncontrollably to beats leaking out of the theatre room. It relentlessly dished out those smile inducing, funky basslines. When my friends had all finally made it through the check we proceeded through the doors towards the blaring sounds of the mainroom. None of us had ever been to the plaza before, and we had no idea what was through the small door we were all heading towards. As we shuffled through the crowds and out into the open, we were blown away by how high the ceiling was. This was no Riverside! As we came to the escalator and saw the mainstage we just looked at eachother in awe! I honestly thought the sensory overload was going to make it difficult for me to stay standing on the escalator. We found ourselves a spot deep in the heart of the death circle, and never looked back. We all flailed non-stop until we were told the party was over, and it was time to go home. That was a very good plaza party. For me anyways. |

Man it was WAAAAAY beter B4 Wett. Some notable parties b4 they shut it down for the year where Sweet gets Wicked ( the first Plaza party ), Galactica, Stargate< sik!sik!sik! setup. On and on there were some incredible parties. Then the shut down the whole parties at plaza. Wett was the first one back from, i think, a year. I must say i was kinda dissapointed about the whole Wett experience....just cause I had such high expectaions on what a plaza party is. I don't know now i think the PNE is the best venue for sound and such cause they can crank it up withour pissin any one off i guess.

Yeah for sure. I know wett wasn't even an exceptonal party. It was just like that for me cause it was brand spankin new. Yeah i think the noise restrictions in the cilliseum are alot more liberal than those at plaza. Plaza is hurt for sound. Especially in the main room. |

and on another whoring note: The theatre room stays dark, there are no windows!!! The state of the main room after the sun comes up is little intense at times. "I see dead people". Actually, that isn't funny, but some of the main room morning crowd do look like they are clinging to life by a paper-clip. |

I love it. I betcha can guess what I'm listening to Dan. -DJ First Timer - track # 20 "My Hometown" - B. Springsteen. A very fitting comment, you just made. Personally though, I do things a little backwards. I just touch, but I don't look. Blindfolded styles. |

sounds good, hope you got some sleep eventually. Hey Dan: I think we're going to have to retire DJ First-Timer now. After the cherry poppage at your place last friday and my night last night, I think that title must go. Zain was nice enough to let me put down a set last night at "hush". It was nice to spin infront of some people that i don't know, an it was especially nice to finally hear my records !LOUD! I've been told I'm welcome to derail some more box cars again soon. I wanted to bring out the big gun last night, but I just couldn't do it. You know what I'm talking about! It was unfortunately neglected for two reasons: Firts off - Nobody was ready for it, and I don't want to induce seizures just yet. Secondly - You and I both know that there's no way I'd even dream of laying out that masterpiece at its first public appearance without you there to witness it. It ill be played, it's just a matter of time. |
