Can PC's read AKAI discs natively? If not, what do I need? Excellent! I'll check out those VST recommendations, thanks!

1.)Kontakt is wicked ya! :)

2.)Watch out for the pitch shifter, ESPECIALLY w/ vocal samples, if a singer sings vibrato, it sounds like SHIAT, same with some drum loops too, with synchopated patterns, or triplette 1/16th rolls... Very cool tool tho! :)

PC's can definately read AKAI discs effectively, not as good as MAC tho, of course, but ya, Kontakt likes AKAI samples just as much as WAV's...just take FOREVER to reformat under PC OS...

PS: You'll also LOVE Sample Tank 2, especially for tempo changes with your samples....its really good for that.

I think you'd be better off just making your own loops

sometimes I find loops just don't really fit the sounds you're usin. not to mention makin your own is more satisfying.
