But this is Mos Def's time, bringing activist rap back to the forefront as Public Enemy and KRS-1 did in the early 1990s (taking a cue from hardcore luminaries Fugazi, he doesn't play venues that serve alcohol). The xylophone-heavy "New World Water" attacks capitalist industry with shark bites not heard since Boogie Down Production's "Beef" a decade ago.

That's not true.

The show was originally being set for the commodore and was agreed upon until another promoter came in and sky rocketed the offer.
