Later on in life, around about age 5 or so, I started listening to Sharon, Lois & Bram as well as Fred Penner and Charlotte Diamond.

Probably classical music, orchestral, whatever.

But in terms of pop... my earliest recollections are of Paula Abdul and New Kids on the Block.

My grandpa on the harmonica... but when I was about 6 or 7 I started really noticing music and buying albums with my allowance. Green Day's "Dookie" was the first album I bought followed by Nirvana's "Bleach". My cousin snuck Cannibal Corpse's "Vile" past my parents for me. Then I found my parents' vinyl (Dad! Look at how big this CD is!) ... CCR pretty much ensured Rock and Roll would forever be my first love.

94 was probably the most important year of my life. I discovered an irrepressible obsession with music. I remember crying the day Cobain died and deciding I was going to become a musician.
