A plea from me....to all the Grads.
Life is such a precious thing. Some people just fail to realize this until it is too late.
Everytime around Grad, my mum and I alwayz pay special attention to the news, even though it saddenz us to do so. There are just so many kidz out there...out here...that are oblivious to the world around them. 2 years ago, a guy I used to make stuff with in metal and wood class was on a grad camping trip. He was drunk, playing with a gun, and he shot himself. So he graduated...but he never had the chance to take the step into the real world. Last yearz Grad...a bunch of my friendz decided to pull a grad prank and steal a giant inflatable cat from the roof of Pet Cetera. They were gonna inflate it on the top of our school in the middle of the night. What they didn't realize, was that the cat they stole was worth $30 000. When they saw the newspaperz and the crimestopper commercialz, they knew they were in trouble. Luckily, they didn't get caught. They rid themselvez of the evidence and were home free. No criminal record. So they got lucky...but what if they hadn't? So this year, my grad, rollz around and I dread hearing of something bad. A few more dayz until the year end and I start to believe that everything will be okay. Think again Jen. Sunday night, my 2 friendz and their 2 buddiez try to hoist the car of a teacher onto our school roof. The cops come and catch the 2 on the roof and my two friendz, who were on the ground, run away. This part is alright. The worst that can happen is that all 4 of them get caught. Wrong. Tuesday rolls around and one of my friends has still not been seen, since that night. My other friend that got away(his best friend), plus the missing boys' parentz, are frantically searching for him. It is Tuesday afternoon and his best friend has a hunch....and searches the back of our school. There he finds my friend, lying unconscious after a 20 foot fall into a ravine, 2 days and 2 nights ago. Currently he is in the hospital, on life support, in a coma. He may survive...actually I know he will survive, I have faith...but what if he doesn't?! So many questionz......with no real answers. But the main question here is....WHY? Please Gradz, as you, along with me, have a great time celebrating our graduation and end of high school, keep in mind that this fun is not worth losing your life over. The reason why we celebrate our high school graduation is because we are now able to journey on to "bigger and better thingz". You can't do that if you're dead. *Jen* (P.S......I think this is the first time I've ever started a thread.....!) |

aww that is sooo sad.... but its so true.... graduation is supposed to be fun, and yes every year, the grads all want to do something that they'll be remembered by.... pranks r pranks, but they're not worth it.... they're dangerous, and ppl get hurt... so all u grads, u all think ur mature and stuff, but that is a sign of immaturity when u do stupid things like that!!!
nuthing that serious happened to my grad class, but 2 of the guys fucking put dog shit in the microwaves in the cafe and like microwaved the shit for like 20 min.... the whole school smelt like dog poop and since it was like cooked for so long, the shit exploded and bubbled and the inside of the microwave was all brown!! it was sooo gross... anyways, the 2 guys ended up replacing all of the microwaves with brand new ones... and then they ruined their grad cause they didnt have enough money..... so ppl! its not worth it! just be sensible and have fun :027: ~elmar |

At that age you think you are invincible, that you can do just about anything you want and get away with it.
I had friends during grad year that went around pulling off pranks and even going as far as stealing cars in broad daylight. What didn't occur to them is some of them are now ADULTS, not juveniles anymore. What a difference one year makes in the eye of the law. Two of them got a slap on the wrist due to our slack juvenile laws and the other one got hammered in adult court. Not exactly the best way to start the first day of the rest of your life by going to jail. Yes you finished high school. But if you think that studying math, chem, physics, french and english lit. was bad. Wait until what the real world is going to throw at you. More than one person I know wish they never graduated and went back to the 'easy' life. Last edited by MC Hammered; Jun 13, 01 at 10:38 PM. |

Hey u just got out of the jail cell we call high school and u are just starting ur life , so pls be careful . I'm mostly refering to drinking and driving on your grad nite , it is so sad u awlay hear every year that someones dies on grad over drinking driving.

i would like to take a big shit on those who are stupid enough to shoot themselves or steal $30 000 cat baloons?? wtf... honestly they give the rest of us a bad name... grad is a time to celebrate and have fun this is true... but if your going to go that far... FUCK YOU! i have no sympathy for those people who are stupid like that... they only represent an itty bitty portion of the graduation population and it is because of their stupid mistakes and the media that graduation is a scary and dangerous time... fuck that... it's perfectly safe and harmless for anyone with a brain...
FUCK STUPID PEOPLE!!!! thank you |

*sigh*
Jen hun, I'm really sorry to hear that happened to your friend. I truly am. This just made me sit back and think...next year, when I grad, you're right. I'm going to be really really careful. I mean, we usually don't do big pranks like that in Richmond, but if people want to next year, I have a really good reason to not participate and to try to talk them out of it.
I hope your friend is okay...and I hope you're okay too hun *hugs* I love ya lots, you're as sweet as a berry that's why your name suits ya, and don't you forget it =0) *muah!* take care hun, and ICQ my ass! 10879115 |

Yah u guys be careful!!
my friend...well acquaintance just died in a car "accident" actual he was street racing... so be smart everyone, we're not invincible! He didn't even make it to the grad dinner and dance! ...and the ironic part is that there was some lady who's sister died in a car accident on grad nite, spoke to all the grads about being careful and he skipped school that day... |
