Do we really need another thread about this?

Anyway, I hope Galaxie can figure out what she needs to do to have sanity back in her life. She's a pretty girl - I can't see why she'd have to worry about her man being an ass? Girls who look like Galaxie will have NO TROUBLE finding a man who won't give her reasons to be endlessly jealous.

because it is rooted in fear, it inflames the passions causing anger to arise.

when one become jealous of another, one covets what that person has, not that person's possessions but the merits that that person enjoins, forgetting that one has to work hard to receive merits from others by forging friendships and rewarding friends not so much based on "buying" their respect but on solidarity of the group.

in short, jealousy occurs because a person does not have what it takes to make friends based on a healthy sense of group solidarity.

even jealousy with respect to a loved one is based on a primal sense of control. "You can't have my property because it is mine alone."

thus even jealousy in relationships is based on the inability of the jealous party to realize that no matter how hard we try to see our loved ones as people first, when a stranger or friend tries to divide their attention from us, that attention becomes like property to us. And we want it all to ourselves.

In a healthy relationship, mild jealousy is to be expected. If communication is healthy, then it's best to discuss this immediately lest something smelly happens.

Thus jealousy is bad because it could harm group solidarity.

Jelousy is considered a bad thing because when you mention you are going to a bar with some friends, you end up getting a bunch of fucking phone calls that are meant to basically keep you on the phone and mark her territory. Just get it over with and pee on my leg and get it over with.

I tried peeing on my girlfriends purse and shoes before she went to the grocery store.... and she stopped me and told me i was a freak and that she wants to end it...

what does this mean?

that shes getting defensive because shes cheating, and didn't want me to piss on her stuff because then the other person would know?

people who claim to not be jealous have emotionally divested themselves from their partner.

it's kinda like saying it's all good after you failed a course, because you really didn't give it your all in the first place, and you basically cut your losses even before you began.

Jealousy has nothing to do with trusting your significant other....It is about trusting yourself. The Jealous person is usually willing to cheat and in turn can't trust their partner because they don't trust themselves.
