POSITIVE reinforcement seems like the best way to go from what I have found out so far :)

Ive been doing it because it worked fine with my other cats. He is different, so Im finding alternatives.

i didnt read the whole thread but FYI cats DO pee out of spite, beleive it or not they too have feelings, moods, and tempers.

so i cant really suggest anything other than grin and bear it, its a personality struggle between you two and it will sort itself out in time.

if your cat doesn't use the litter box keep the cat in a smaller room for a while. it's going to require a little attentiveness on your part though. When she misses the litter box pick her up by the scruff (momma cats do it, and your kitten will recognize this as dominance) and put her in the litter box. that's how i got my cat learn-ed. Put the litter box in a darker part of the room. Cats like to pee in secluded areas.

i have had cats all my life. i have 3 cats whom i love but i took time to get them out of there nasty cheeky habbits. first off i have a himalayan(they are so cheeky), and when i got him as a kitten very young he use to climb the curtains, tables, eat plants, claw everything etc ... the water didnt work, the flickin didnt work ether. i sometimes had to lock in a room for a time out, he didnt like that much, but he learned. sometimes i had to give him and *little* spank on the bum. i even got to the point where id give him a bath if he was bad haha. now hes a perfect gentalman..er cat:cheesy:

unfortunatly kitten go thru phases growing up. you are in the terrible 2's age lol. the kitten will grow out of it. welcome to parenthood:love: its worth it in the end

ps if he is peeing other places after he is litter trained then he is pissed at you or he has a bladder problem (crystals) but in this case he is just mad lol. think of it like a kid throwing a temper tantrum...rub his face in it give him a tap on the bottom, then ground him to a room for a few hours for a time out....BAD KITTY
