Failing highschool isn't the end of the world, now that I look back there are so many oppurtunities for highschool students, and you're lucky cause you still have a chance to pull yourself together, if you want to. Alternative options are summer scholl (EWWWWWWWWW) or adult school. Maybe you just need some time off to sort things through, once/if you feel that you can handle it again, you can go back.

i skipped 1/3 of my graduating year. i rarely did work and had about half an hour of homework a week. even still, i took 4 academic courses, graduated with honours and a scholarship.

but i never really did anything.

Not only school, it seems everything has backfired here in my life recently. Problems with my girlfriend seemed to start it all, then family problems at home, that worked into money problems with friends. I sware all I do now is work on my computer trying to make enough money to set everything straight. Skipping school to work at home. Sounds like a full time job to me. :(

I hear your pain buddy but I seriously suggest that you go to summer school or do something to finish and graduate high school.

I don't care how smart anyone thinks they are, without some sort of MINIMUM certification that you are educated good luck in finding a decent job.

It is a wonderful catch-22 you will be in. Most jobs need a diploma or some type of acceptable work experience... but with no education how does one get a job to attain the work experience?

Yes.. you are a talented webmonkey, but in all honesty, webmonkeys are a dime a dozen. This is true for all jobs in the IT sector after the dotcom crash. I have many friends that are much more educated than I and are having a hard time landing jobs.

Do yourself a favour and swallow your pride and finish off what you started.

ur stupid... honestly.. if u do work ur ass for 3 months. .. and will ahve 1/2 a class to make up.. its better to have 1/2 a class not done. .than a full year.

exactly. myles seriously, the biggest mistake you're going to make is just letting this slip away and deciding that you dont care. make the effort now, cause it will only get harder and harder as time passes. i dont know how much pot you smoke but i'd suggest cutting down as much as possible. i know that smoking alot renders me competely useless...

even if you cant grad this year, you can probably pass most of your courses if you concentrate on them and drop one or 2 of them. then make concrete plans as to when you'll be finishing the rest of your courses. then from there you CAN go to grad with your friends, you'll just "officially" grad in the summer or fall when you finish your courses.

if you dont grad and decide to take any time off inbetween june and finishing your courses for good, you'll be seriously fucked. do it now. good luck, tho i think this advice is falling on deaf ears as it seems you've already made the decision to be a waste of space.

I got to do it. School kicked me out when i was 18, then they let me come back for one more semester because the semester started before my birthdate.

I ended the semester being 19 years old!!
