guys its SO easy to fail highschool...want me to demonstrate?
grade 11 was DIFFICULT..math 11....whao. all you older ppl..the curriculum has changed over the years and nowadays its much harder than what you had before. and to get into university....you need more than brains.. you need a tutor, at least 80% dedication to studying and simply dedication to school. which i dont have at all... ackz.. still contemplating if i even want to attend grad. school is g-a-y

i got kicked outta skool last year and it sucks ass cuz now im behind and plus ur in grade 12 man ur almost done im in grade 11 and 10 classes! just get it over and done with and then once ur out then you can do whatever the fuck you want :c-tard:

My sister's graduating this year. she's never had a tutor in her life. she's already gotten an unconditional acceptance to both UBC and SFU and received a $3500 scholarship from SFU. Plus, she's a candidate for another $20 000 scholarship from SFU. she'll probably getting more scholarships too! I'm sure she too, can vouch that it probably takes more effort to NOT graduate than to graduate. :P as for math 11, funny story: I had a friend who was HORRIBLE at math. in grade 11, she wrote the final exam and ended up with a 47%-49%. she begged the teacher to let her pass. the teacher allowed it as long as she made her promise to never EVER take another math course in her life..... she's still kept that promise to this day! lol. you never know.. some teachers may let you get away with passing if it means you're going to graduate. anyways, my bf and I were actually talking about how we think the curriculum should be a lot harder. highschool doesn't always prepare you well enough for university... --Joanne :P

i know provincial classes has changed a lot...especially over the past 5 years. i have all my sisters binders and notes from when she was in grade 12 (4 years ago) and especially in math i see a lot of new topics and change in curriculum. over the years the curriculum will get much harder to prepare students for university and to also give the students with 90%+ average a bigger challenge.
i dont know how old some of you are.. but for those who are late 20s or something... compare what you learned in highschool to now... it different. its amazing watchin my sister ace everything while i have to give 150% for something to do just good in. i keep reminding myself i have the brains to do well as well...its just if i have the effort and dedication...which i dont....especialy in academic courses. i just want to sit and paint all day. i also dont believe in tutors.... my math teacher has told me many times i should get a tutor...but ive said no. i believe school should be teaching you everything you.....go in afterschool, stuff like that is helping me a lot. i dont have time for a tutor nor money right now. tutors are PRICEY.. ill prob get one when provincials hit. still...im trying to avoid that situation. thank god im graduating this year... i dont think i can stand waiting around for another year

..... 42 kids already? ... ok well for my school then.. next years gonna be fucked up.. i rather go to private school.. but get rid of that.. religion stuff.

It's not hard to graduate highschool, It's not hard to fail it either. It all depends on how you choose to go about it.
If you're such a lazy ass and you just wanna glide through so you can pass, and get your ass out of there, then you take the slack courses. If you want to actually challenge yourself and get something out of it, your take real courses. (By slack courses, I mean things like cafeteria.. you have to be a REAL idiot to fail that one) I seriously think it's stupid though, to give up when your so close to finishing. 3 months left! For fuck sakes, your so close, why the hell give up now? So you can fail at it, and then have to spend even more time later on trying to make up what you could've done earlier if you hadn't have been such a lazy ass? I've gone through the whole skipping thing, and blah blah nearly getting kicked out. Then I realized what the hell I was doing was stupid.. So I smartened up. Look at me now! I'm on the honour roll. It's not that hard... You may not live up to Joanne's sister (it's not that easy for everyone), but at least you'll get somewhere. I think it's really stupid to just give up now. Of course, what I've said has all already been said, but whatever. And about courses, I'm with Bev.. They have gotten harder, maybe not for the people who graduated within the last few years, but I've been told by others that "oh it's so easy blah blah" when really, they haven't seen the curriculum. Also one thing I noticed, in certain courses where they changed the curriculum, it was almost like skipping all this stuff. What was grade 11, became grade 10 or whatever (not for the entire course though) So when you went into the next level, it was based on what you should've learned at the previous one, whether or not your learned it. (am i making sense?)

1) Myles your not gonna graduate this year, so what.. I had one of the worst attendances in my school too.. and I had the same fucking talk with my principal.. show up do your work don't skip and only party on weekends.. then go to summer school and take what ya need. If you want to work full time then do it and take night school, that's why I did and I finally graduated now. Just learn to limit yourself, being a party kid ain't gonna take you anywhere in life.. oh btw.. stop telling yourself.. "I've got better shit to be doing than to be at school" that's where it starts my friend.. grade 8-12 drugs, girls, parties, friends, fights, business is what's on your mind and school ain't no joke.
