Anniversary ideas?
Me and my woman are coming up on our 3 year anniversary in less than two weeks, and I wanna do someting extra special for her this year. Usually I Make her a big several course dinner, followed by an evening of sweet-monkey-love. I bought her a ring one year, some x-men action figures another time. I am on a fairly limited budget so any suggestions like "take her to Paris" or "buy her a new car or diamonds" won't be very helpful. Besides I think something sweet and meaningful would be more appreciated.
Any suggestions would be appreciated, and for those of you who know her, don't mention anything to her. Thanx. |

Hmm...I have the same dilemma/anniversary coming up too....only I have a few more months to plan....
Have you ever tried a romantic "getaway" at a hotel downtown? Or even a place not too far from here, but far enough to "get away"? Harrison Hot Springs is a good place. My bf and I rent one every 6-12 months....=) Just for fun and to get some alone time... Another GREAT idea is to get her a -different- ring....you know, the ones that have a solitary diamond and a big commitment... :kam: Hehe... Okay okay...you're probably not ready for that. Oh, whoops, you said no diamonds... :kimmie: Or make her a scrapbook of you guys and your time together...or tape a message for her...or write a poem/song... Umm....sorry, can't think of anything else now, but I'm sure I'll be racking my brains for the next little while. I'll tell you if something comes up. *Jen* |

Yup yup, I've done the stuffed animal thing and the baking her an apple cinnamon cake mmmmm, and the poem and collage thing. The problem is that I do all sorts of gay little lovey dovey shit all year round, so when there is a special occasion I feel like doing something a little extra. Like for our six month, I got my belly button pierced (my only piercing) because her and I both kinda have a thing for tummys and I wanted to surprise her.
Maybe if I can get a hold of Tom Jones for the weekend, or perhaps the olympic-sweedish-midget-badminton team, that would be a pleasant surprise. Maybe something to do with dessert topings...hmmmm Nah we've done that one to death already. Oh well. Thanx for all the sugestions, and feel free to think about me on the evening of May 17th. Huh huh I'll probably be doing it. If anyone else feels like waxin' thier special honey-pie on the 17th, feel free to help us celebrate from your own homes and support your local flippy! |

^ nope can't think about you that night, it's my birthday.
The sweetest gift ever? A piece of jewlery made by my man..you can go to beadworks and make a hemp necklace, or crystal earrings. You guys could get a matching piercing and split a pair of earrings. Picnic w/ wine and cookies a special love dance and ma personal fave - new shoes oh shoes bought by a boy what a great idea! Have a fantastic anniversaire :) |

i say get a hotel, go there first and have some stuff there already that will make her feel special, eg. foot bath stuff, floweres etc.
then backtrack your steps and leave notes for yourself as to where to go and what to do, take her out for dinner and get the waiter to have a not for you telling you to goto the park and then sit and make out, then have a note in the park telling you where to go to get dessert then at that place have a note for you with hotel instuctions and the key... that way it all seems like a never ending mistary, (VERY ROMANTIC) BUT DONT SAY ANYTHING CAUSE THATS WHAT IM GONNA DO FOR MY OLD BATTLE AXE FOR OUR THREE AND A HALF |
