I may work in an engineering evironment but boy do you have another thing coming. I used to think the same way and now I use that math plus alot more obscure stuff than gr 12 math everyday even when I'm not at work. If you go into buisness your most likely going to see alot of that gr 12 math again as well..... math 12 is easy and it looks good on the transcripts

I didn't graduate from highschool either
WAY too many mainstream losers at the highschool I went to. I had better stuff to do like post nude pics of myself in my livejournal, deal pot and eat snacks. Granted I'm nearing 30, working for minimum wage and basically homeless right now but I have no regrets. Some people say a decent paying job doing something you're intrested in, a steady mongomous relationship with someone you love and a nice place to live are the keys to happiness. Well my obesity, fake hair, many piercings, all around hideous and freakish appearance, lack of education, motivation and poor personal hygiene make these mainstream keys to happiness impossible. SO I SAY FUCK THE MAINSTREAM. The real keys to happiness are 7-11 hotdogs and getting humped by some dude who's fatter than me and has more fake hair, piercings and std's than myself |

After I dropped out I promptly registered for correspondance classes through the GVDES. Once I decided I wasn't particularly interested in completing high school that way, I waited until I turned 19 so I could register to take my GED. However, at VCC there's a waiting list to write the GED and those who are planning to return to college ASAP have priority. Since I'm not interested in going to college until next January, I'm still on the waiting list. And for the record, at the time I dropped out I was not making minimum wage, and I was working two jobs - one full-time and one part-time. I know many people who have completed high school the typical, traditional way, who make less money than I do now and did at the time I dropped out. My aunt never graduated high school, she was short her math 11 credit, yet she is a teacher. To register for college in many programs, one doesn't even need a high school diploma. It is possible to register as an adult student and complete many arts related programs. The only reason this isn't true with sciences is because there are more prerequisities required. |
