my parents used to be a lil uggh about it when ii was younger but ever since i started dating my current boyfriend they are perfectly fine with him spending the nite or me staying at his place. for the past 3 weeks we've been spending every nite together and my rents havent said anything. they always ask if hes gonna be here for dinner and wat not and they usually make a nice big deal if hes staying over. i guess they really like him.

Ive lived on my own since 16 and my parents still do the sneeky drive by pretending its on the way to work and such. Then they call and give me grief if any extra cars are in the driveway. Its lame but thats life. I know Im not a whore so it doesnt matter where they think the extra people are sleeping. I know its not in my bed.
I didnt date while living with them but I know for a fact they would not be cool with anyone sleeping over. |

my parents are old fashioned. no boys are allowed to sleep over while i'm living at home. well, that was the rule the last time i was dating someone, but that was like a year ago? so who knows. im sure if they got to know the guy they might be a little more okay with the idea.
oh and sheena, thats kind of creepy that your parents do drive by's. do they not trust you at all? |

When I was living at home my parents never let me have any g/f's spend the night. It was just something that I accepted and got used to.
So it was a bit of a shock to me when I was 19 living on my own and was having a long distance relationship with this 17yo girl living at home. Her parents were a lot more open and accepting to the idea of me sleeping with her when I came to visit, and they knew we were having sex in her room as well and were cool with it. This was both very good as well as a little unusual to me. With that said, if there was ever a good reason for performance anxiety, it would be from the constant fear in the back of your mind of daddy bustin' in on you with a shot gun from the room across the hall while you're riding his precious angel all the way to town like a cheap whore. |

I live with my mum, and I have my own room so I have my space.
I can do whatever I want in there, I can have people over whenever I want, whoever I want. My mum doesn´t say anything, if she were to, I would freak out, I can´t understand how parents prohibit their kids things when they are 16+... Those parents just achieve their kid gets more irresponsible. ( MY OPINION.... ) |
