school
is stressing me out!!!!!!!! to get into the courses I want at cap I either have to wait until next september or upgrade majority of my grade 12 courses!! thats really irritating, no one gets shafted from cap!?!
I'm thinking of waiting until next year but I don't want to sit around here and do nothing..but I also don't want to waste money taking courses I don't want. have any of you people waited before going to school? and for how long? and what did you do inbetween?? work full time,travel?? I know in the big scheme of things I'm not exactly old but still by the time next year comes around I'll be 19 going on 20 which is a late start compared to a lot of other people?

well what do you want to go into... like what career field? cuz cant you take courses that will help u in the future. for example to be a nurse there is a 2 year waiting list so i have to wait 2 years.. but in the meantime i can take some biologys etc to make my work load a bit less.. i dono i guess it depends what your going into

i was in the same situation. after i graduated highschool i couldnt get in for the sept program that i wanted to get into so i had to wait a year. i didnt do much the whole year... just chilled and took it easy. seriously it sounds like a long time but it goes by so fast. im starting school in sept now and im soooo exicted about that which is an odd feeling cuz i never thought that i would ever be excited about goin to school. there's a lot you can do thought.. work full time and save the money to pay for school cuz it definately costs an arm and a leg to go to school now, travel if you have enough funds or just take it one day at a time and figure it out from there. Hope everything works out for you though.

im at capp and being almost 20, im one of the youngest people in my program... and for most its the first post-secondary they are doing. and in some ways it feels like im persuing my education backwards - most of the other students have amazing life experiences to apply to their work, im going to have amazing scholastic experiences to apply to my life. anyways from what they have said, most of them traveled, and worked there asses off inbetween.
i know that personally after im done this program im gonna take some more time off school (i took my first year off) before i return for my bfa. i want to get it, but i know im not ready for it. i would say if you really really dont want to do the upgrading this year, then dont. i find personally that if my heart is not into something, my mind does a shitty job. starting school at 20 isnt starting old at all. find a job you can enjoy, and work and have fun for this year.

nope. i started a year after i graded. cap screwed me too, when i first started i knew id have to take the edt for english cause my final grade was a b, but i got 92% on the provincail and i told this to the lady who was doing all my paperwork and she was all "oh well then you dont need the edt cause you got an a on the provincail" and i asked her if she was certain, she said yes. she was a big fat liar. and the edt was a waste of my money and time. seriously, i would wait and travel\work. theres no rush.

sounds kinda similar to my dilema i got the boot for smokin weed at school last year and now i have to go see the district they said i wont be goin back until december and im already a year behind god help us!!

yes im in high school hahah, but they cuaght me with a pipe first time, second time i was makin hash pies, so i was on my 3rd chance i think its retarded
