I just quit my job. im trying to quit the smokes now because its easier when i dont work. smoking pot, workin out and eating are helping the dirty urges! this thread makes me wanna have a smoke. just like those damn anti tobacco campaigns.

Some really good advice in this thread. I agree with the first few days being the toughest, and it begins to get easier for sure. I resorted to substituting smokes for other things, mainly gum... I didn't start to blaze more like some other people I know did, I did eat more though. I found that it was a habit too and that it was in my head, I thought about all the positives of quiting and the positives of continuing to smoke. It was a no brainer, and the longer I didn't smoke, the better I felt, physically and about myself. I don't really get the urge to smoke at all, I don't think I ever will, I take a puff every now and then though when I am drunk. Once you beat that initial time of smoking being an urge, it should become just a thought, which I found was easier to dismiss... Good luck

i quite for like 3 weeks a few months ago... then i went up north teeplanting and being out in the middle of the fotest witha buncha people i dont know got stressfull.... I've come to the realization that i depend on nicotein.. i love it.... but i will quite...one day
once you have the taste for tobacco you always got it... it never goes away... its more addictive than heroin |
