And I dont like that it's OK for men to sit around and talk smut with their friends, but I don't think that since it is a social norm that it makes it OK for women to start doing the same thing in the name of being fair/equal. Be better than that, have more class than that.

I dont think people should talk about their shit out in public places like food courts and shit where theres strangers/children/seniors around who are completely not interested and in most cases disgusted. Its just impolite, ignorant and antisocial is what it is.
That kinda thing is totally trashy/unattractive behaviour, only morons and/or people with self esteem issues act like that in public. I dont see whats wrong with guys or girls talking with their friends at home about such things tho, aint nothin wrong with that. People are supposed to communicate, dont hold back!

The thing about guys talking about their sexual conquests. The ones who talk about it in extreme detail to like anybody , are usually asshole type retard guys who are tying to look cool to the rest of the group because all they have to offer a conversation are some tall tales of bagging random girls and a pocket full of blonde jokes. Only a few of my questionable acquaintances are like that, the close friends i keep have way more class/personality than that.

For technique/ideas, sure I guess you could ask your friends if you had a close enough relationship to talk about those things... But in terms of advice about sex itself, contraception and prevention of STI's you really should be talking to a health care professional... B/c your friends probably know as little as you do. i couldnt agree more, these are usually the same girls who sit around and brag that they made Mr. Perfect cheat on his beautiful gf with them.

I am all for having girliy heart to hearts with my friends, but more along the helpfull advice lines, to do with relationships and emotional things that girls are famous for talking about. We are our own councellors and alot of times the things we talk about are the reasons you boys get special dinners made, back rubs every so often, and our sex skils dont always come from cosmo ;)

On a different note.... i think it is equally disturbing that guys can look at porn, sit around and fart and drink beer and think they are kings of the universe, while talking about all the random girls they'd die to fuck.
