Feeling Regret....
I dunno what it is lately but I've been feeling alot off regret and it's really getting to me. I'm not one to let things bother me from the past but over the past couple of weeks things have just been creeping up on me. Now that I think of it there are so many things that I would go back and do differently but can't and I think that is what is making me sad and depressed. I keep telling myself that if I can't do anything about it why dwell on it and to just move on.. but it's so hard.
Does anyone have any advice from personal experiences of overcoming regret? |

Think about the times that you've made the right decision. Maybe you were younger before and some of the things you have done weren't the right thing to do, but I'm sure there are lots of things that you're happy with.
You wouldn't be where you are now without your past. Accept it for making you stronger and smarter ! Enjoy life instead of regreting it. |

why not do something that makes you feel worth while.. something that helps another person. Do something that you will not feel regret to later. Everything you have done, youhave done for a reason.. and if you did it differently who knows what might have come of it? U could be in a worse situation than u are now.. Everybody has there ups and downs during there lives, what u do next and how u do it will determine if you move on to the next up part of your life or stay down .... The choice is yours > red pill or blue pill?

i think it really depends on what you're regretting.
if you're regretting a decision that can't be changed at all and is over and done with then yes, i agree with everyone in that you should just move forward with life instead of living in past mistakes. it's been said before, but learn from your mistakes...they make you a stronger person in the future. if it's something you CAN change...let's say like you had a fight with a friend and said somethings that you didn't mean...well you should go and apologize. it sucks to be the first one to break the ice and say sorry after a fight or a bad decision, but it shows a lot of character and can really pay off. |
