nabs is an unknown quantity at this point
Interestingly good day.

Today started off suprisingly good. I had a good conversation on the bus with a lovely lady. Did all my work at school. And now I cant even keep my eyes open.

You never really know someone unless somehow, by chance you end up in a conversation with them. I know this now when looking into a 24Hour newspaper today. Seeing the three candidates for our PM a woman spoke to me and said, "Hard to decide, isnt it". I have seen this lady before but I never really thought much of her. She was old and it looked as though she was or used to use drugs a lot.

I was amazed at the things she told me. She was not planning to vote, and had not voted ever, but according to her, I had convinced her to do so. She explained to me her story, how she is like she is, she used to do drugs, alcohol and many things that harmed her and also by her actions, her family. She had been off of drugs and alcohol for 7 years now, which made me feel really happy for her.

Im sure she would have been talking to someone else about this, if not me, but im glad it was me. She was clearing her thoughts, telling me a lot of things about her life, which I had no problem with, I am actually glad that she chose me to start a conversation with because this made me understand that everyone has their own story to how they got where they are.

She is now back with her family, happily, and going back to school, having a second chance at life. Which I am very happy for her. She was very much enlightening to me because she had a real big struggle in her life, and she got back on track, and went back to school to straighten herself up.
This experience had taught me never to judge anyone because everyone has a reason to be where they are.

Its funny, we were on the same bus again more than 6 hours later coming home, she told me how much she appreciated me listening to her, and talking to her in the morning. This is one person, I probably would never forget.

Right now im off to sleep, my eyes are closing, and I keep dazing off. So good night to you all, and take care.

Funny, MSNBC reported that this Monday (24th last year) is statistically the worst day of the year. I thought it was a great day!

rule of thumb about talking to randoms on the bus:

if she's got no teeth...don't!

haha some randoms are funny, once i was at surrey central and some dude just out of no where started telling me about all the model train magazines he steals from chapters.

It was funny, i've had many funny encounters with randoms.

I try to avoid those situations. I allways listen to music on transit these days... even if some sketchy ramdom doesn't notice that I'm listening to music I just casualy point to my earbud without saying anything. I'm anti-social like that.

I think it's great that you can appreciate that moment as a learning experience.

Many people go through life experiencing things without ever having a reflection as to the potential meanings and lessons that some events can carry in their life, that they can benefit from.

I'm very much the same way, once in a while, I'll meet the random stranger who moves me in a way that someone I've known for life never has.
