How to cure a Black Eye? (help / advise needed)

Hello fnk,

Well, my girlfriend got into a fight with some other girl which resulted her a black eye. Her head also hurts because her hair was pulled many times during the fight.

In this case, she is not planning to let her parents find out about her injury so she is trying to recover asap, so what exactly can she do to treat her black eye and headache (from major hair pulling) the best and let it heal the quickest?

As of right now, she just eats normally, rolls a cooked egg on her eye (don't know if all of you heard of this method for healing bruises), and smokes weed to relief the pain, and nothing else. She does try to rest her eye too by closing it (the left eye), and she says that ice will make it too painful for her.

So what exactly can she do? Any good useful methods? Any medicine or anything?

Please advise. Your feedbacks will be much appreciated!

PS : It's the 3rd day now, and she does not want to see the doctor as well.

why don't use make up. Shoulda put ice on it right away when it happened.

Yup, she used make-up to hide it from parents ;) But it also hurts a lot and bugs her real bad so she really hopes it can go away asap. The bad thing is that I'm not too experienced with bruises at all, and she isn't willing to see the doctor. I did ask her to put ice on it right away on the day she got injured but she refused because she explained that it always hurt a lot on her whenever she tries to use ice on her bruises in the past so she is just afraid of it and rather seek another method.

hahahaha that's just hilarious.

keep the bruise cool. that keeps swelling down. don't use ice if she's gonna whine, use frozen veggies, or wrap a cloth around it so it's cool instead of cold.

but seriously hahahahaha again.

Hahahaha I know how you feel about this, because same here. Girls are much weaker than guys, lol. Don't want to say too much but some girls are really like a kitten. Oh well, lol.

Well depends on the color of the bruise to relate to how long it'll last. I've taken many a boot to the face and ribs. It'll probably take at least a week sometimes 2+ to completely go away. If it's like really bloodred black it'll take the longest to heal. If it is almost purplish violet it'll probably go yellow in about a week and then subside.
