Life is...?
I finally figured out the most important thing about LIFE - and that is that I figured out absolutely NOTHING about it. I just know is that I'm very analytical about it and always try to justify the world's existance as an evolutionary and/or spiritual phase that has a purpose of some sort. Or not. The questions such as "who are we?" and "why are we here?" are good questions but they really have no answer to them, if you really think about it. We just give them whichever answers suit to fulfil our 'dream worlds' in our minds - but we never really answer those questions... we just THINK about them. Maybe there is a reason for that? What if those questions don't even exist - why am I even giving a shit about asking whether those questions exist or not?
Your existance is something you want to happen - you wouldn't exist if you didn't want it to happen. And no, the excuse that one cell connected with another cell to make you a person isn't any way to say that it all happened randomly. We are all here with a purpose - on an evolutionary or spiritual mission - to accomplish SOMETHING. That something is an unknown purpose you are currently going through in the phase of your life - like this post... it's pointless blabbering about life, but at one point or another, I was born into this world to make this post... and the purpose of this post will remain unknown... until you discover your reality. What you make of your life is your reality and nothing else can change or influence the course of it. Do you see where I'm going with this? This post is absolutely meaningless to YOU - but to me... though I think it's pointless as well... I actually was meant to do this. Anyway... back to where I started - like I said I didn't figure anything out about life, that's how I'm going to end this post. Life is...? Let the bashing begin... calling me names and such, for making a 'stupid' post (or not), but I don't care - I'm happy now. *submit* Last edited by FireWire; Aug 11, 06 at 12:59 AM. |

Yeah man, I agree.
My head hurts. I think too much. I think about thinking all the time. I shouldn't be inputing black lines such as these into a virtual notepad... I should just get punched in the face instead... just for good measures and just to know that I'm alive. Gah. |

I sense great confusion within you young one (Sorry i watched star wars ep.3 last night). But anyways, i've been probing these questions for a while now. Perspective is key. |

there is no other explanation for it. out of over 1 million species of animals on this planet, only one questions their existence. a tiger is a tiger and will always be nothing more than a tiger, and it knows that. a worker bee is a worker bee and will always be a worker bee, and it knows that. both have priorities; the tiger needs to hunt and kill animals smaller and weaker than him to survive. the worker bee needs to collect pollen from flower to cross-pollinate them, as well to provide food for the queen and strengthen the survival of the hive. both creatures are understand their place in nature and their purpose because it is something that they were born with and it is something that they will die with. yet, a creature that is intellectually superior above all others understands their place in nature, but not their purpose. how is it that an animal as dumb as a bee has a better sense of propriety than the animal at the top of the food chain? |

hey no offense, but you don't know that, you just think you do.

really?
why is it that every worker bee does the same thing (collect pollen, provide food, strenghthen the hive) and they never do anything other than that? there has to be some sort of concousness of one's purpose to always do the same thing your entire life and never go out of routine, it becomes instinct. you think that they just decide that they want to do this one day, then the next day the go and fly off to another hive? no. because they will not survive, nor would the other hive accept them (in fact, the drones would probally kill a bee from another hive). they understand that they are there for that purpose. if they didn't, they would leave the hive once they left the larvi stage. hence, they understand their purpose. |

point is that you don't know what a bee is "thinking" because we just can't know that from observation, just assume and infer. plus who knows what bees are doing when we're not watching? haha. i'll admit i'm being a little awkward here and playing devil's advocate, but you can't escape that in this kind of conversation.

NOTHING.
absolutly nothing. all of the destractions we have, all of the choices, all of the stimuli are just differnt vibratons of the universal singularity. when we pass through this physical playground/holding cell of the spirit, and depending on what kind of energies we created during our time here thats were it ends up....to nothingness. just a simple sate of being. pure conciousness. this life is a test. for our soul to experince the gift of the physical and to learn to transcend it. this life is extremely important. perhaps the most important phase of the souls journey. the worst thing one could do while your here is surround and cocoon(great movie) yourself around the phsyical. ..lol...at least thats what i learnd when i smoked DMT, fucking died, and then came back! lol...... |

this is exactly my point. we as humans were granted the ability to make dicisions, have choices, have the ability to question things and rationalize things. a bee doesn't have this and is subject to do one routine his entire life for survival. THAT is why he understands his purpose, which is to do the same thing everyday until he dies for his survival and the welfare of the hive. and THAT is why we do not understand our purpose, because we have the ability to write our own lives and have options available to us, if we want them. there is no set purpose for human existance, except to exist the way we see fit.
