Any DnB Parties?

So, It's literally been a few years since I have been to a DnB/Dub party :(

I'm so out of the loop. Is there anything still going on on a Friday or Saturday (Similar to fixed Fridays).

these guys are pretty much running the dnb scene nowadays. Their calander is the one-stop shop for all your dnb needs.

Sigma is playing an Automatic party at Open Studios this Friday too.

Keep in mind that if you're expecting an all-dnb, all the time, night you might be a little disappointed. Most nights now include some dubstep, glitch, and a variety of other bass-influenced music.

Sadly most of the DnB scene has migrated to Dubstep, and it's hard to find a dnb show in town that doesn't at least have some dub involved in it.

Oh well, same as it ever was. Hardcore to DnB to Dubstep.

SIGMA on Friday is the place to be... amazing producer/dj with Love and Electrik sharing the bill, Soda, Special Ed and myself playing DnB & Jay Auto doing an oldschool funk set.

we have a lot of stuff being announced this week.

propa tingz (AKA breakbeat buddha) this fri.
aphrodite and shimon coming march 7th
we're handling the lick room tues the 16 and thurs the 25 of feb.
plus a whole shitload more.

or it's just the same ppl always being brought to vancouver. theres no variety....

you mean artists that haven't played here in at least 8 years if ever like blu mar ten, aphrodite, sigma, dj rap, danny byrd, dirty phonics, or spor?

or do you mean something other than the 2-4 d'n'b shows a month on average, most of which are actually on a weekend and have an attendance of 200-600 people?


there's plenty of d'n'b and there's plenty variety. trust me. i'm picky as hell and there have been tons of really good d'n'b sets in vancouver over the last year. automatic, suave, and SHAH pretty much have it covered. if you think we're missing something than we'd like to hear it (so we can get on it).

lol. we've got something on the 5th and 16th (and the 26th). there's whatever's dope with illesha on the 10th, kid koala on the 12th, lighta! in lick on the 14th, and emalkay on the 14th at the tunnel. not all d'n'b but those are the noteworthy events i know of.

Shah are the only ones I ever hear doing anything decent for DnB (that Im aware of). Would def. like to see more going on though!
