OwNeD, yes idiots are buying tickets at $175 = scalpers are happy and Solid is happy cause they got another Doom's that sold out.

I just think its a total waste of money buying a rave ticket at $175. The most I ever paid for a rave was $120 and that was for Bash at the PNE, NYE 2001. That party was worth every penny!

NYE 2001 was @ the plaza of nations. I know that because that was the only new year's rave I have attended/will attend.

i wouldnt even pay $100 for a vancouver rave unles it was something absolutely spectacular

i just keep thinking back to labour of love in toronto with 5,000 people, 5 clubs packed to the max, solid line up, it was fckin amazing and the most expensive tickets were $50. a party like that would definately cost at least $150-$200 out here, if it were to ever take place

Construction Update
The upgrades to Hastings Park are part of long-term restoration plans that began in 1994. Structural and cosmetic renovations will revitalize the Pacific Coliseum to address Olympic Games and community needs. The replacement of nearly 16,000 seats at the Coliseum and the expansion of the ice surface to international size have been completed. The balance of the building and technical changes for the Coliseum include ice plant improvements and upgrades to washroom facilities, concession space, building Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) and dehumidification systems. Major capital upgrades are planned for the summer months of 2006 through 2009 to minimize disruption to normal business operations.

the line up isnt even that good for Doomsnight..

i've seen WAY better line up's at raves down here.. for way cheaper..

I could not agree with you more ! i cant stand this new trend of brining playboy model dj's and these hot chicks that totally suck at dj'ing. its fucking pathetic. bring talent.. dont get me wrong though i like hot bitches but there is plenty dancing around at the parties already.

well steph ly is not gonna dj. she's just "gogo" dancing for this event. it's not really to attract attention.
there's always been some sort of go go dancing at some parties. you've seen them at massives, afterhours, and other parties. nothing special.
just that the guys decided to throw her name up for recognition.
