I had a fucking amazing time last night.
I showed up at around 11 and the place already looked packed. I've never seen Vancouver junglists represent like that. I got really upset when someone informed me that ak1200 wouldn't be spinning because he was being held up at the border, but then he showed up, AND MADE MY NIGHT. <--- Third time seeing him spin, and he always manages to make me dance my ass off. I harassed him after the show and probably made a complete and drunken ass out of myself. Oh well. *heart* My voice is hoarse right now from screaming so much. Still feeling kinda drunk, but can't sleep. Can't wait for the Virus Tour. Oh yeah, and I met quite a few new people as well. Weeeeeee! [Edit: OOps. Forgot to log out of Jim's account. vancouver junglists represent like no other. The place was destroyed after 3+ hrs of the potd boys. Tonnes of old-schoolers out too. thanks to everyone that turned out, the Pound posse, the PH1 posse, and of course to the 4 mofos from the states for making their first vancouver appearance together one of the most intense shows ever. I can sum up my night by how I feel right now.....
1: My ears are ringing... I have a headache 2: I can hardly move 3: I think I lost my voice... can anyone help me find it? 4: I think I'm hungover but I'm not sure... I vomited on my sweater (Mom's spaghetti) I think that means I had a great fucking time.... HOLY SHIT! In all seriousness... that place was off the fuckin hook last night. I have never ever seen a Vancity crowd go that hype. This is hands down one of the best DnB nights this city has ever seen. I can't believe how crazy that place got.... |

yea that was a very very interesting night...
they definately absolutely ripped it up...they had me dead by about 1:30 with all the hardness rolling out...and i think my ears were blown pretty much as soon as they came up...fuuuk...good sound isn't loud sound - sonar has to be the harshest sound in vancouver and last night was harsh and waayy too loud...haha no that i'm complaining... BIG kudos to Pound and PH1 for their efforts here...looks like it payed off... that was definately one aggressive crowd...hah...I'm glad I played rugby in highschool - definately payed off... anyways, can't wait for ed rush and optical! |

definitely was a mental night. Never seen Sonar so destroyed. The sound there is now on a compressor, so the more the dj's pushed the levels, the more distorted it got... hard to tell Dieselboy & co to turn the levels down! Gotta admit, MC J-MESSINIAN is the man. Working right into the crowd, he rules

fukking nutz...
i love it when venues are rammed.....such a sweet show :) the non encore was lame....fuck sonar is right..it was only 2:15, one more tune would have iced that night. those boys certainly know how to rip it up...vancouver really really impressed the hell out of them....they were lovin the crowd!!! excellent fukking show.... dieselboy was nutz...man, some of those mixes were unreal... and i've been away from the dnb scene for a while, so soo many of those tracks were entirely new to me...that sarah machlachlan dub...hehe..funny shit :) |
