First of all Props to the two bros the Unconscious Butter Chicken Brothers! Simply amazing bros!!! You guys know how to get a party starting! Second of all, major props to funfun on the decorations and designs in both rooms! I had a total blast at this party till 4ish where I was just extremely tired like shit!!! Jimmy threw down a wicked wicked set as usual! Hirshee threw down a funky set along with thomas mezey!!! some electro house boo ya!!! Kamal had an awesome set! Props for yet another wicked party.
When we first rolled up, the smell of the fish, and the crackheads walking down the street, and the view and looks of the building, I was sort of wondering if this venue was going to good at all, and with a name like 'The Maritime Labour Centre' it sounded professional, so the building on the outside, was TOTALLY not what I expected it to be. Once we got past the security and when we got in there around 9:45 or so, we checked out the venue and it wasnt bad. Nice decorations, two decent sized rooms, the lounge area, and the smokepit, not too bad at all. The air conditioning was an excellent plus of the night. Now, I move on to the security. I dont normally pay any attention to the security, so I didnt honeslty see the short white guy everyone was talking about. Keep in mind people, they are only there for our protection. Yes I know sometimes they can be idiots, but really, just ignore them. Now when I say ignore them, it doesnt mean walking away fromt hem when they are trying to talk to you, or when they talk to you, tell them to fuck off, or talk shit about them, it just means, have your fun time, and forget about them. Really, if you are keeping to yourself, and having a good time, and not worrying about them or doing anything stupid, then they will not have any problems with you, as I didnt have any problems with them. Yes I know people pop E at raves, and I did, but really, drugs are not allowed inside, nor with weapons of any kind, hence the bag checks and patdowns when you walk in, so if you are selling E inside, and poppin E, and they see you do that, and they kick you out, you have no reason to bitch or get mad at them because you illegally took in those substances, and they wernt allowed, so they have the full right to kick you out, end of the security issue. Like I said before, they are ONLY there for our security. Also I find it quite funny how everyone was complaining about getting kicked out for 'doing nothing' yet they dont care to explain their story, no-one would just randomly get kicked out for any reason whatsoever. Okay enough about the security, im not trying to defend them, but im also not bashing them, im just syaing, they are there to help us, and they arent purposly tring to wreck our evening. Moving on now. The venue was excellent, the sound was even better, speaker setup and volume were great, ears wern't ringing at all when I came out, well actually they were, but not much at all. The sets, and decorations were fantastic, great job. Lighting and visuals were excellent still even dispite the fact of you couldnt get the laser to reflects off the disco ball, meh oh well. As for the music, some great sets were played, and a lot of decent tracks, shoutouts to Akeel, Waxx, Soma and Mateo were excellent, and as well as Vista in the breaks room excellent sets. Fixx layed it down pretty well, really enjoyed him. As for tickets, I thought paying $30 for an 11 hour venue was excellent, money well spent. For the whole drink situation, I find paying $5 for a warm bottle of gatoraide to be a little bit of a rip, but oh well, I understand money is to be made, so oh well, same thing goes for the water, $3.50 is a little expensive, but I have no problems with buying 1-2 bottles and just re-filling them int he bathroom, which was what pretty much everyone kept doing, so I guess its not bad at all, just by the end of the night, the tap water starts really getting to me hehe oh well. Funny to see the Oxygen bar, heh, didnt try it out, a friend of mine did, and he said it was cool, heh, props to that, and to the Mr. Redbull for supplying the energy drinks all night, I like to see people trying to push the energy drinks instead of the ecstacy, props for that once again. Most of the night I stayed in the breaks room, but the trance was pounding so I did my fair share of checking it out every so often. Just a few questions before I finish this long as post. 1. How many people max were in attendance? 2. How come they didnt start letting people in until like 9:40ish give or take a few mins? Didnt mind waiting outside, but damn, the smell of fish was really getting to my head, so I just wanted to get in as soon as possible hehe. Last question. 3. Why did the lights come on at 7:30 heh? I thought it went to 8am, heh I was hoping it would right to the end, since I never want them to end heheh, oh well didnt mind that at all. Shoutouts, im not going to even bother, if you had fun with me, you know who you are. Nice meeting a lot of new people, and seeing a lot of people from IMF once again heh, good times. To finally finish up my book about Shifted (lol), in the end, it was an excellent party, and once again, money well spent.
