WICKED VENUE! -- Nice work Egor and friends as the venue was great. Thanks again for having me out as I really enjoyed playing.
I agree that the sound and namely the monitor was really frustrating just because you walked a fine line on if you turned up the monitor, you'd hear the vibration on the tables and then over the speakers. Ah well... it wasn't bad for Egor's first party though... I've played on a LOT worse setup's. It was good seeing all those that I did... I will probably be seeing a lot of you down at Tribeca tonight. Oh and I swear to god that one of the bartender chicks was Sarah Michelle Gellar... she looked EXACTLY like her. Fricken Buffy the Vampire Slayer making me double vodka redbulls. :p Peace. |

I was soo sick and cranky...... I soooooooo sorry everyone :( <3
I still have the worst fever, stupid flu! Anyways, Great work Egor, you really did a great job for your first event. I was impressed! The party was fun, despite the Communist Russian Mafia you hired to work the front entrance. They were great.... however, there were a few moments where I felt like I was caught in a scene from "Schindler's list". The music was tight, props to the MC's, you guys were making every track roll better, and that's what a talented MC is supposed to do!! Props!! Sully you've got superb track selection, "Suicide" was the highlight of my night :) Rhia: thanks for taking me out last night! Rave arrands are FUN. Neal: thanks so much for driving me home. I be Missy Squigie in your car anyday! <3 Best line of the night: "This car is older than the majority of people who are sitting in it." |

Had a not bad time while I was there.
Cool little venue. None of my friends were there so I left early. And how come whenever I open, Everybody starts showing up to the party 10 minutes after I'm done playing? Last edited by Triple D; Jan 29, 05 at 02:09 PM. |

Great to see a bunch of people come show support. Much respect for the insanely forward DNB set Psidream layed down. Holy fuck that was heavy. Carlos, haydn and I were lovin that fresh shit.
Nice talking and drinking with everyone, you know who you are ;) |

Cheers man, I had a lot of fun playing! "Tearing Us Apart" by Calyx was one of the heaviest responses (as usual). That drop is ridiculous. My "808" remix (with the miami bass beats halfway thru) seemed to be well received.. and Gridlok's remix of Swift's "Tripped". I've been playing those the most regularly out of everything I play, so I'm glad they hit home last night! Last edited by psidream; Jan 29, 05 at 03:25 PM. |

<bitterness>
The vibe at that party was way off... I think the security guys ruined the whole atmosphere. Seemed like they were trying too hard to look huge and be all intimidating in thier leather jackets. I saw two russian guys start fighting in the hallway, apparently one of them pulled out a gun. I feel safe. If you're gonna search people for weapons, search them properly eh? The super cool security guys kicked out my 17 year old drunken friend on the street because he was slipping on the wet floor in the bathroom and wouldn't let him come in to get us so he had to wait by the car for 2 hours and no one had any clue where he went. You need to decide what you are throwing here, sir. A russian hall-party, or a rave. Combining the two will not work. </bitterness> Don't take this badly. Consider it critisism to improve any further gatherings you may be throwing. Last edited by specialkonrd; Jan 29, 05 at 03:42 PM. |
