As a member of Evolve which actually designs our stages for our parties aswell as put together a complete listing of every model light and speaker we want to rent from the rental company (Masterplan) so we insure our stage and setup sounds and looks its absolute best. I can vouch for some of the other promoters on what I "think" goes on.......
Most production companies really don't know very much about the technical details of sound and lighting. They leave everything almost entirely up to the rental company. Essentially a budget is given by the promoters as to how much they want to spend on equipment, and a basic design is provided on how they want things to look. It's usually up to the rental company to fit that budget with adequate equipment. To provide an answer to everyones question using the following information, I don't believe that Solid Corp. will be able to give an exact answer on how things will be improved on in terms of SQ (sound quality). Masterplan may not be able to answer this either at the moment, because they probably don't have a budget given to them by Solid Corp. I hope this helps some people out. For a minimum of 50 bucks people better get somthing damn good specially considering tickets are now at 65 already that is a lot of cash to throw down if the DJs you want to see are on a sub par stage with sub par lighting and sound. |

There are a bunch of us who have been partying for years that havn't been there. One is how the sound carries and two is its expensive |

Are you seriously taking that much time out of your day to try to school me? Please don't do that. The issues I've raised are absolutely legitimate and others agree, if someone is going to invest a pretty chunk of change on a party ticket they have every right to ask questions and raise concerns before spending their money. Jake brought up an excellent point- if you're in a store asking about the quality of something or the warranty before you buy it, is someone who doesn't even work at the store going to race in and say 'IF YOU'RE GOING TO BITCH DON'T BUY IT!' ? no. absolutely not. I'm sorry we don't see eye to eye on that. |
