Well... I know exactly why the shark video is so short... At these types of events, people are not very considerate of the guy trying to film. If you can get a decent shot more than 30 seconds long without someone bumping into you or waving their drunken hands in front of the camera, you are extremely lucky. On top of that, my gear is modest, and I make do with what I've got. If someone would like to come and keep people about 2 feet away from the camera man at all times, it would be appreciated. I could also use a lighting guy, and hell, why not have another camera team or two as well? Either way, I appreciate the critiques and i'll keep it in mind for the future. As for the dubbing... Well the only mic i have is the one on the camera and as most of us know, those are less than great when it comes to EXTREMELY LOUD MUSIC... I was hoping to record the whole audio set but it just didn't happen... I think i might be able to pull it off for the next one though. That way the dubbing will be from the actual show. As for the 'guys upstairs', well they were playing @ the pendulum show as well so I thought they deserved their appearances. Either way, I had a blast doing it. Thanks to everyone involved.
Your input (from everyone) is appreciated! |

also.... seriously, the longest clip was one second, and every shot had mirror effects, warping, and other wierd shit going on. it actually made me dizzy to watch. totally doesn't give anyone a clue as to what the show actually looked like. edit : i realize that is super critical, please don't take any personal offense, just a matter of what i would (personally) like to see from a video. that, and i was dissapointed by the shark one too, so i guess i came down a little harsh.
