Hooooooollllleeeeeeee Shiiiiiiiieeeeeeeettttttttttt....
What a weekend! Firstly, thanks to Nicole, Kam, and Adam, if you hadn't been there, it would have been a complete bust. Also, thank you to our gracious host for letting us stay at his house! As far as the party went, I was more than disappointed. For the resources that USC seems to have, they sure do seem to focus it on the wrong areas. Instead of the highly elaborate staff passes that must have cost them a fortune, they could have pooled their resources for some sound curtain. The venue was big enough, just not set up well. And what was with the volume, seriously, it is a rave turn it up!!!!! Also, the beer garden shutting down at 1? That sucked! And then the no capped bottle water. I love how Vancouver promoters get dubbed as cheap for not allowing in outside water, and they won't allow you to have capped water in the states so they sell more. That is ridiculous. I was truely let down by USC, I can't say I would ever go to one of their events ever again. The music, was at times mediocre. Like everyone else, I spent the evening at the DNB stage, and it definately had the best. The saving grace of the evening was Influenza's set. At least the vancouver boys know how to use the volume control.... If it weren't for the huge convoy of familiar faces from Vancouver, the party would have been 10x worse, and this was definately the party where you made the vibe yourself or it wasn't there. |

That being said, we still had a good time. Cant let a few shitty things about a party ruin your night. I came, I saw, I flailed. I enjoyed the people there too for the most part, i had plenty of conversations with people and one guy just gave us a little nug for free! Anyway, our friends rock and Im pretty sure we could have fun in a ditch in minus 30 weather. Rave on! |

we had a wicked time! i'm not sure about that hour being extra though... without that extra hour, our set would've only been 30 mins. =) |

see the lid thing i've only heard of at baseball games.....the purpose there was so people wouldn't whip the bottles onto the field (without a cap the water comes out and wouldn't get too far).
At a rave.....well maybe the junglists would whip the bottles i don't know. anyone try bringing in an empty water bottle? successful? |

The only thing that the party had going for it was the talent. And even then, at times the talent sucked! Maybe I notice the details more, but I think that was the shittiest, most poorly run event that I have been to in a while. I was going to say life, but there have been a few doozies in this city. |
