Freeze
What a shitty party and its not evolve's fault. I just walked out of a highschool dance, good sound setups all around. Fantasmic trees allison.
i humped the shit out of guyver and played a damn fine acid techno set to no one. I also got a pic taken of me with a clubzone sticker taped to my fattie stomach (watch out for that pic!) during my set.. the care factor was 0, in the final tracks, i was jumping the needle to good parts of the song, and finished with KMFDM. I then said everyone can go home now Then a guy who claimed to play hard trance was in the low bpm of trance. But a bitch.. if i may. To all the dj's that are playing sets. If you wanna tell the dj something... for fuck sake, wait for him/her to finish mixing (putting the volume fader down or cross fader to the other side) Then ask your shitty question.. we all know its either "last track?" or "the time is....." So yes my friends.. This was my last set for a mainstream party, this scene is at its all time lowest and its never going to be good again. But i'll always be on FNK to boo.. or to appreciate if someone good has been booked. Playboy dj? come on.... MEGA DANCE EVENT WHUT!? |

I don't know what disgusted me more, the half naked 12year olds, or Pauline shaking her sagging ass.... atleast the latter was removed form my vision... thank god.
As for the party... Danny Taylor played an amazing set.. great start to MY night. Watched about half of alje's set and half of Shawn's, good job guys. Guyver-Sweet set. You played Differences, which I had been yelling all night, and I thank you for that. You played Serious Sound, and I went insane... no worries about not playing Restless, I play it enough in my van. I'd just like to say Miss Lisa is a terrible DJ, I knew this before hand, but ugh. Noof, there was no way I was staying awake for your set... I hope everyone 'Goes Insane'! For all of you who stood back stage... you know who you are... acting all important like and shit... my message to you... JUST GIVE'R! Fuck it, DANCE.. DANCE DANCE DANCE. blah. I woulda thrown stuff at you all, if I had something to throw :-P Or if I wasn't too busy GIVIN'R TO GUYVER'S SET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ! lol. Now it's time to get a few hrs sleep... literally, maybe 2.5... fuck. Winter Break is gonna be a GONG SHOW for me tommorrow. blah. for all of you I met at Freeze, there were a bunch of you....... Alright there is some hating in this thread, but i would like to say while the audience was a little young the music was great for me. I really got rolling tonight and I think Evolve threw an exellent show! And I really loved the 7 year flashback that dj miss lisa played... it brings back some great memories.

wow!!! i actually wanted to go to this party~ not me gettin dragged into it i wanted to go!! AND LIKE 4 BLOCKS AWAY WE GOT FUCKING PULLED OVER BY A STUPID ROAD BLOCK THAT WE DIDNT SEE CUZ IT WAS OVER A HILL AND WE COULDNT EVEN TURN....
nehow license got suspended for like 12 hours....couldnt go to the party just went home ALL CUZ OF 2 FREAKIN BEERS like hours b4 that tooo....*sigh* i really wanted to go!!! STUPID DRIVER *humph* |

So me n josie walk in and our first sight is.. oh yes a little girl in actually booty shorts. not short shorts.. but actual underwear *lovely*
My first instinct .. obviously to trash talk this one.. its jus to easy! Then i get into the washroom and see this little one.. and wow i know her! awsome!.. Round 2 comes along more little girls come in.. with nothing on.. i actually started to chatt with a couple of them in the washroom and found out .. oh yes its one of the girls 14th birthday! Oh good.. !! horray! party with the little girls who look 10! Ha i think one of the best parts was.. one of the girls saying * i jus threw up..but im okay, im still high* ..oh dear After that .. FIGHT!!!! oh yea buddy! a fight haha ..thunder thighs and her side kick.. try n fight this girl.. well damn the girl took them both down.. those two ended up getting kicked out! thank god jus like alex said.. so after the whole little escapade.. we danced a bit.. talk to a few new ppl.. overall the set up/ music was awsome.. i dont think i'v ever seen the maritime that packed.. good job guys! |

dont know where to start... set up was amazing... lasers were insane... and the snow was trippy hahaha.. MAJOR props to evolve! ... they know how to throw a banging party! GUYVER was off tha hook! best set ive heard in AGES.... his new shit is dope... and im so glad he dropped all his classics. shout outs to everyone i met...( too many to name ) nufail > hahaha a lil too stoned?? haha i was trippen balls off that bud... good times i coudlnt dance much cuz i recently injured my back at work so i was just standing there most of the time... but i still had a blast... |

i think marty said it best, the scene is at its all time low, i have no interest in seeing 13 and 14 year old half naked grinding there teeth and throwing up.
evolve threw on hell of a setup and party.....none the less...... wow... well, first thing i saw was a girl standing in a rave line up in the
'prostitute' side of east van, in her panties, shivering. Looks fun. Enjoyed the only two good sets of the night then left... only to listen to the rest of it in disgust on 90.1.... someone was scratching trance... poorly. While i respect your attempt to do something different with mainstage music... you might want to check out eddie halliwell, he scratches trance pretty good... might be of use. I wish a major congratulations to the girls i saw that looked like they were expecting... they seemed kinda young to be pregnant but some of them DID look like they were in their 3rd term already... so i dunno. If im wrong... thennnnnnn you might wanna work on sucking in those fat lil bellies so ppl dont think your parading around in your underware whilst preggers. :S just a suggestion Good set up evolve, the snow thingy was really really cool and creative! You dont see things like that anymore.... too bad plaza is a casino cause i know evolve would be rockin that place right now. Danny your set was sweet too. Good job! Sianora rave scene. PS ambesol works good when your gums are swolen from doing too much drugs. |

Freeze, and the Resulting Chaos. So we did it! We did a 6 hour live webcast feed from Freeze over ASL radio directly to CJSF 90.1 FM. I was there studying latin until 4am then came down to the party. THis was a Hardhouse party. This was a crazy party. What was wrong with everyone... there was near chaos... i walked in the back door barely scrutinized by the bouncer. My set was... ok i guess. I didnt trainwreck, but I got that confined space reverb, and everything was turned up too high, especially the bass. Ive djed in bad situations before, but the sound was just not good. Good for hardhouse, but for floaty stuff.... not so much. I cleared that room out pretty fast. I felt kinda bad but then checked mainstage and there were only about 60 people left. Some security guard came in and danced around to Greece 2000. Hes talking to me and there is a giant bottle of booze right there, and they didnt even care. HAHA. Next time, ill definately play tech trance and techno... no floaty shit.
