so are most festivals/dance events, in fact i think all of them are also in holland, i noticed locals are a lot more responsible and educated when it comes to drugs, but OD cases are not uncommon at parties. actually, i think someone was taken to the hospital for ODing at armada night that was held at a club. oh and im sure guyver didnt care much, UK parties are even worse in terms of sketched out pill poppers heh |

All and all it was a good time, i must admit that the dj's didn't get the respect they deserved, i was all candied up for it and found everyone to be really great about it, not a single person gave me any flak, most people seemed really into it when i gave out bracelets or band aids(i was the one with all the neon band aids on). Also i forgot to mention the excellent job on the lasers, the snow was also a great touch. I liked what the new security group did, the metal detectors are great, i felt alot safer, also the medic gave my ride a jump when it was dead in the morning(real nice guys). Stay with those guys they are excellent.

Hey PPCOCK
Hey buddy whats going on man.... First of all when a Dj sets up a set he/she knows what track start and finish and how much time they need to complete their set.... second of all.... No dj that i know in the dj industry picks up a needle jumps thru the record WHILE its playing to end the track...something aNON proffesional DJ would do....third of all....if you cant mix your last track cause it has a break beak intro in it and your running and time on your set thats something you should deal with it and not cry like a little bitch .... fourth of all.....what kind of poor life sorry ass dj whines about their time running out by grabbing the microphone turning it on and sayin ....MY set is done so everybody leave....thats a weak immature way of ending your set and making it not easy and uncomfortable for the next Dj to start....if you cant handle the way you get a response from people at a party that wont listen to your shit then once again....your weak.... so stop complaining that the scene sucks.....and its people like you that make this scene shitty for Party goers and Djs..... i am sure that there is going to be alot of people that are going to be thrilled that you are not going to spin at n e parties.....I am sure your going to come up with some weak ass sorry response to this because your a little whiny school girl that has to have his last word.... so take it easy and F$#@ you. and respond to this as much as you like cause i am ending it here..... peace bitch

Okay, its 1PM on Sunday and we just got back from dropping off Guy at the airport, so its time for me to collect my thoughts about the show. First off, Guy was impressed, not just with the level of production for a show of this scale in Vancouver, but with the crowd and how up for his set they were. He is a very happy camper right now and so am I. For any of you who met him on Friday, I'm sure you'll agree he's a very nice, down to earth guy and it was a pleasure to have him back in Vancouver. Likewise, Miss Lisa: down to earth and very patient. She must've stopped to take 30 pictures and sign at least 100 autographs on Friday and she was happy to do it. Despite what some of you said, she CAN mix and very well, I might add. Some of you may not have liked the fact that she played an old school type set, but I, personally, enjoyed it quite a bit. I havn't heard ATB or Cosmic Gate played at a party in YEARS.
Glad everybody enjoyed the stage setup, the lasers, and the snow machine. Alot of hard work went into that. Shawn, Dave, Dan, Jeff, Arash, Dan J, Attila, Gary and Rob all worked really hard all afternoon to get that gear ready. And our deco girls, Allison, Mel, Pamela, and Alana did a truly PHENOMENAL job of turning an average technical looking setup into a veritable winter wonderland, so thank you ladies! Additional thanks to our staff at the ticket booth and in concession, Natalie, Tina, Dave, and alot of others I've already mentioned. The party had a few hiccups through the night but fortunately for the most part things went okay. I heard about the fight during my set and I am appalled that this sort of thing occurred. If anybody knows the young woman who's nose was gushing blood all night or if anyone (sober) witnessed the assault, I'd ask them to please come forward so that the parties responsible for this assault can be dealt with properly. It upsets me that people like this show up to our events and cause trouble. It only takes one bad apple to ruin people's night. All the DJs. Wish I could say you were all fantastic. My set was admittedly hit and miss as I was switching between cuing and beatmatching tracks and responding to radio chatter from the security company but I think overall things went okay. Hope everybody enjoyed. I stopped in briefly for Impact and Dub C's set which had the 2nd room PACKED even during the last hour of Guyver's set. Major props to Rob and Carlos, you guys are sick DJs. I had no idea PPcock was going to be unprofessional and say the things he said on the mic, I think that's poor form, especially in conjunction with other stuff he has said over the last few pages. All the other djs, however were sick. Optimum Sound's psy trance set was banging as was Nuff's set in the morning. You all deserve major respect. Dennis, Danny, Luis, Joe, Rob, and Carlos, I didn't see much of you guys but I have cheques for you so give me a call sometime this week before I do my Christmas shopping :p Thank you to everyone who came out to the show on Friday! Hope you all had a great time and we'll see at NYE, Marco V, and Johan Gielen in the coming months ;) |

ppcock just misses how the rave scene used to be like, I know where he's comming from I started going to underground parties when I was 15, back in the Static days, those were raves. I wish I could go back to those times, even the e was good, not like the garbage now a days. I remember my cousin dragging me out to the parties he played at, I had to sneak out of my house, so many memories.
I remember going throw all the checkpoints and not worrying about security at parties and being able to drink at them and do whatever. I want the rave scene to go back to the underground, like it should be. Its too advertised now, that's why we have kids comming to raves just cause they think its kewl and they don't respect the dj's sets cause they are just there to get fucked up and not there for the music. Respect ppcock, but don't tell the crowd to leave after your set that's not gonna get you gigs and is very unproffesional, but I feel where you're coming from. -Seb- |

So many people were inviting me to the second room, like all night, they all said that during Guyver's set and I did go check their sets out but Guyver's set was amazing, so I kept going back to the main room. |
