bottom line is - you make your bed, you lie in it. If there is a problem with promoter and artist in the past, why play for them again?

If there isn't a deposit secured, as most contracts state the artists need to have, why the hell would anyone come across the continent without a secured payment.

In this case I would have to say that the artist and artist's managment are as much to blame for this situation as the promoter themself.

All the artists and agents I've ever dealt with require these things, and when there have been discrepancies in the past all matters have been dealt with the artists managment directly.

THIS IS A BUSINESS, BOTH SIDES NEED TO TREAT IT AS ONE.
