heres a tip for all you people who cant find time to work out even though you really want to.
Make a list of your 3 fav T.V. shows THEN stop fuckin watching them no excuses now or better yet cancel your cable for 3 months just to test it out. |

if you can fill up your life with two jobs and work out then it's good for you.
I cannot fit too much in one day or I crash. I am no good to anyone if I crash and burn. I don't come home on days that I'm at school until 10:30 and I'm not going to try to squeeze a work out in the middle of my day. I don't want to show up to work or school looking like I just came from the gym. I need my rest when I come back from school. I also hate showering at the gym. I'm not about to take all my girly stuff from my bathroom and transport it around the city with me along with my school bag and my work. I will go to the gyms on days that I don't have class where I don't have to stress about being late for class, not having enough time to eat dinner before class, and I can come home and shower and take care of my mental health! = ) Sorry if your 'if you want it you can make time' arguement is bullshit to me. I have made time... on days when I'm not in class. I'm not a fatass and do not need to go to the gym everyday. |

Seeing as how I'm fit by default (combination of genetics, physical job, and lack of personal vehicle works wonders, folks!) and care not about being a beefcake, the gym strikes me as one of the bigger rip-offs out there.
Figures I always seem to win free passes to them though.:suspicious: |

P.S i could fuckin careless if any of you go to the gym, but i do love hearing about how hard and busy all your lives are real life hard |

^ i dont think I mocked anybody.
unless me saying theres always time is mocking. anyways it doesnt really matter if its the gym or reading or watching tv if you really really dont want to do something you can always talk yourself out of it. my point is if getting into shape or setting a goal for anything else is a priority in your life 99/100 you can make the time for it. |

I bought a bunch of new running gear. It's so hard to get motivated to run in the winter bc it's so damn cold but now I have some sweet waterproof threads and thermal pants, I will be FINE. As for Hardstylin', girls don't have the luxury of showering on our lunch breaks. We have long hair to wash, dry and straighten, makeup to put on, etc. It takes me around 70 minutes just to shower and get ready for work - my lunch is 30 minutes (when I actually get one). I changed my shifts around so now I work 11-7:30 most days, which means I get up at 7am to run before work, and getting off at 7:30 gives me time for tanning and school after work. |

I personnally dislike girls (or guys) like that. I used to go to school with this one girl. She came to the gym with me a few times. At least half of those times she spent most the time talking on the phone. So disrespectful :notrust: |

like galaxie said, it takes girls a long time to shower after the gym, it's not just 15 min shower and back to work.
you were talking about going to the gym everyday and making time for that, and my point was that making the time to go every day (or multiple times a day) is bullshit. |

I, for one, enjoy a good 45 minute cardio without being spoken to by some 30-some year old asking me how things are going and what my plans later in the day are. |

It's an occupational hazard. I work at a bar, so drunk girls ask me out. You have breasts, so horny guys ask you out. |

Woah I didn't expect this thread to turn into a fight about how busy everyone is and whether you can make time or not....
BUT since its out there...I don't think hardstylin is coming down on you not having enough time to go to the gym or not. If you don't want to go or if your priorities dictate sacrificing gym time for homework/work/whatever that's cool, I think what he's trying to say is don't use the "I don't have enough time" excuse. When it boils down to it, it really is just an excuse like saying I don't have enough time to study or I don't have enough sleeping time. If you move it up on the priority list then you will have enough time for it. Unfortunately that also means sacrificing time for other things. If it's not that big of a priority then it shouldn't matter if you go or not. Do what makes you happy, you don't have to make excuses for it. Internal locus of control people! Now let's all hug and make up! |
