Dear new people at the gym...
I think it is awesome that you want to get into shape and more power to you but please please please remember when at the gym...
Wipe the machines off after you're done using them!!! Yesterday I went to use a bike and it was covered in sweat...I look to the one right beside it and that was covered in sweat too...GAH! The circuit training area is for circuit training: That means don't sit on the machines between sets, don't stretch in an area that makes it difficult for people to work on said machines and don't put your shit all over the stairs and or bike because people use them in circuit training. Look around where you're training...If it is a high traffic area (Ie: between benches, in front of the weight rack) then MOVE TO A LOW TRAFFIC AREA!!! If someone wants to work in and you have a few sets left then LET THEM WORK IN!!! Don't hog multiple machines at the same time. PUT YOUR WEIGHTS BACK AFTER USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's just gym courtesy. Please have it or at least do excercises the wrong way so that you'll injure yourself and not come back. That will do also. :) |

I had TEN new people in my yoga class on Monday night (there's usually maybe 1 or 2) and some of them did not understand the concept that YOU DON'T TALK IN A YOGA STUDIO, especially during the final meditation. Nobody wants to break the balance they just got from an awesome yoga class by hearing a group of gaggling girls going all 'OH MY GOD' about shit.
seriously! |

heh, I always find it amusing how Jan/Feb the gym is also so busy. and then, they all get lazy again. oh well.
i agree though. I have been a gym rat for years, and every time i go to the gym I see the same things: poeple dont wipe down equipment (eww), people dont put weights back properly, people lifting improperly. its so frusterating. and to agree with Myras post, Stop standing around and talking, this isnt a place to socialize |

things all yoga schools should make a requirement before being allowed to join....
- pedicures mandatory. when lying in savasana i dont want to see your scraggly ass toes or plantars warts above my head. and why the FUCK is your skin peeling off. - stop leaving the mother fucking room and coming back in. it is called hot yoga for a reason. i want to leave too, but i power through it. - dont try and be the tough guy and make excuses as to why you cant do the poses. hot yoga is hard. no one is going to judge you if you dont do it. - hey princess, i get that you are hot, i also get that your rack is so small and perky that you dont need to wear a bra, but why the fuck do you have to wear a white tshirt. i dont need to see your nips. especially through your stank ass sweat soaked baby doll top. - spider crotch and booty shorts. i dont need to go any further. if everyone could just follow these rules, then it wouldnt matter that there were 45 of us in class because you all had ny resolutions. otherwise, i cant wait till you get fat and lazy again. |

I dont know why I dont see a lot of gyms making it mandatory to bring your own towel? Its such an easy thing to bring and would really cut down on the bac/germ spreading. Than again it might make ppl reluctant to use the spray bottles instead of their un washed towels. To be honest I dont wipe down a lot of the equipment I use, but I also dont sweat a lot or notice any after. Is this ok? I would think so since I like NEVER see other ppl doing this except on cardio equipment.

Carrie I totally understand, and hardstylin does not. I love being active and it drives me crazy when hard core ppl tell me "there is always time, make time". I also work full time while doing part time school and I barely have enough time to eat. How would I have time for the gym if I cant even get enough decent healthy food in me? Way to make a small girl faint by telling her to skip lunch and work out or get up even earlier for a 12 hour work/school day. Carrie, my goal is once a week. This will most likely be Friday after work or Saturday/sunday afternoon. We could always fit in with our weekend study sessions? |

I am planning once or twice a week as I work Mon - Friday and then am at school on Mon, Tues and Thurs nights.
Hoping Friday and Sunday as gym days for now. do you attend a gym? I currently hold a membership at Fitness World. study date on Saturday? |

Ive always been a drop in person. Its more convenient and flexible for my life style, not to mention I much rather exercise out side during the spring/summer months. I also have a basic gym at work I can use at no cost so I feel silly signing up.

Looking at your schedule, you must show up to work in smelly sweaty athletic gear. I mean no disrespect to your course, but I highly doubt its as much work as the university level courses Carrie and I are taking. Also keep in mind that females tend to do longer, sweatier work outs (cardio & more reps). We need more time to burn and time to clean up, shower, and look professional for our jobs. BTW where do you fit in time to do your sweaty, smelly, laundry? |

HOLY FUCKAGE sign me up! |

Real Estate=university course, i suppose theres no more/less work involved then any other course,or one you would take by correspondence. I multi task, cook supper/dishes and do laundry at the same time |
