I just wanted to know why Avana was still arguing that Val was in the wrong if she knows the law. I think she was just assuming that this is a trend and that Val had been missing an excessive amount of work because of it. |

I think most employers understand that family is first no matter what. If you are as good as you say you are - if you are really such an asset to the employer then they will be flexible. Just remember that there are alot of childless people out there that are just as capable of filling your position. I doubt anyone would make a big deal over 1 or 2 days missed.. Avana - Once you have a child, it is fully YOUR responsibility to care for your child when sick. Sending your kid to someone else so that you can put a new pair of shoes on their feet is garbage. Why would anyone want your sick child in their house? I think that is irresponsible of a parent.. If you ever decide to have kids, I doubt you would still have the same opinions. SOLUTION : FIND AN EMPLOYER THAT IS FLEXIBLE AND UNDERSTANDING - DONT TAKE DAYS OFF FOR MINOR THINGS. SHOW THEM HOW DEDICATED AND "GREAT" YOU ARE. SMILE MORE. ^anytime ive missed work my kid has been a)barfing b)had an extreme temperature as a result daycare would not take her c)just released from the hospital due to convlusions brought on by extreme temperature.
and she knows that lol. Basically,my boss was taking her own shit out on me. It had nothing to do with me,i was just the best target at the time. |
