here's the situation... big guy takes bus to Coq station - no problems here and we already have his $$$, waits for his transfer for about 5-10min, bus takes long way around and he ends up taking 10-15min for what would have been a 3min walk, very litteraly. He is extremely lazy and that's all... i've even seen his rendition of running once for a bus, so he isn't crippled or anything either.

i have no problem with large people on the bus, however i do have a problem when they choose to sit right next to me, forcing me to squish up against the window, when there are tons of other available seats. whhyyyy. :(

Or why they think that standing in the door area is a better call than sitting in a seat thats too small for them. I mean seriously, like they have to keep moving around to get out of people's way and its like AHHH get away from me! They keep turning around and around trying to stay out of the way but NO it just makes it WORSE, their bum keeps getting near me, and it's so BIG and HUGE its hard to get away fromm!!!!

here is the reasoning i use if i want to take the bus somewhere:

time waiting at bus stop = A
time on bus going to destination = B

and

time it would take walking there = C

if A+B is less than C, then i take the bus. if it's more than C then i'll walk. if it's equal to C then i have a choice on my hands depending on my laziness factor (D).

however, if you throw in the weather factor (E) it complicates things further.

your math makes sense, but I also think you should throw in an extra boundary value for the minimum distance - some bus stops are literaly a few hundred feet apart.

I go through this everyday that it rains... its like FUK. walk? not walk? its FASTER to bus it.. but then, i don't get my walking in! I usually decide by whether or not im wearing stilettos.

okay, i JUST had a bus experience kind of like this:

i was going to chapters to buy my dad a book for his birthday and decided to take the bus, so i looked up the bus times and found that a bus was coming in three minutes, so i jumped outside and waited. and waited. annnnnd waited. ten minutes go by (it is a fifteen minute walk to chapters) and i don't know whether to leave or stay.

this is a hard place to be! you don't want to leave the bus stop because you know that the longer you have been waiting the better chance there is of a bus coming soon....however, you want to just get to the place you want to go.

i ended up walking, and i never saw a bus pass by me, so it was a good decision. but the worst thing is to decide you're going to just fuck it and walk, and then two minutes later the bus drives by you.

i hate when transit is late.

thats when you jump infront of it. If it stops, you get on it. If it doesn't, you'll do a backflip onto the roof, and hang on extra hard with the ninja gloves.

I don't think it is that bad that he they just take it one bus stop but the fact that they take up 2 - 3 seats at a time...And the bus is full and then you have no where to sit...Because those 2-3 extra seats are being taken up by a fat ass...

the ones who get me are the lazy people who ride motor scooters around...on a cruise ship! this one glamarama grandma rode around...cig in hand..legs crossed. and of course she could get up to play the slot machines.
