imho...dj rap was awesome 5-10 FRIGGING YEARS AGO! she hasn't released a drum and bass tune of note, or done anything new for about that long. i think her last original tune "bad girl" came out in '97. she just continues to tour on past accomplishments, aided by the fact that she's a relatively cheap booking as she's been living in LA for something like 10 years but still bills herself as from the UK. her label doesn't release tunes anymore other than having other producers do remixes of her old tunes. even aphrodite has far more to say about drum and bass today, at least he still puts out original compositions and has artists on his label who release material that is original. simply put, DJ Rap is no longer relevant to drum and bass as it stands today, and if she gave it up there would be more room for some talented, original, creative and more importantly productive act to fill the gap.
that and the last time i heard her play she had approximately two tunes in her bag that weren't on wide commercial release.

I can agree that alot of the bigger things she's done in her carreer were in the passed. However she still did them and sure as hell didnt deserve the comment Marty made about her.
When I last spoke with her in the spring she expalined why she's been doing more house acts than DnB. For one she gets way more and bigger bookings as a house dj "face it im too old to be doing this just for fun". She made the point that you cant get the massive crowds playing DnB compared to house. Finaly after so many years of hard core DnB why not try somthing different? Recently she has been working, but not so much with DnB. Look into her profile a bit more and youll see that she's been colaberating with alot of big house dj's and making house music :D
