tapered fitted jeans have been trendy for awhile now, and they've always been called skinny jeans - i like it a whole lot better then the 'stovepipe' jeans.

why do people keep slagging aritzia and their small sizes? they do have some pretty small sizes, but they also carry for the other extreme as well. i think they carry up to a size 12 (i'm in between a 6 and an 8 which is med/large). if they were to get any bigger they'd be advertising plus sizes, like say, cotton ginny and suzy shiers - yeeea.

Hahaha..Seriously.. A size 12 is the 'other extreme'? Are you joking? Thats rude and stupid. Most stores carry up to a size 36 (16) . A size 38(18) and over would be more plus size. People larger then a size 7-8 (the other extreme *cough*) are obviously a little annoyed that its harder to find there size at Aritzia..and have every right to be annoyed.

Thank you. Actualy in the rest of the world ppl arnt as big as they are here. I felt bigger in Australia because when I was a size 3 here I was a size 10-12 there. However the most popular size there was 8 which would be a 1-2 here. Some ppl are borne with a skinny gene and some ppl are shorter than 5'2". Whats wrong with having a store dedicated to smaller fit ppl when you have a store dedicated to bigger ppl? Anyways... im tired of so many ppl who go flip on tiny slim ppl and calling them anorexic.

At the stores I worked at, it just wasn't profitable to carry many sizes over size 14 because the bulk of our clientele just weren't 14+. In fact, a lot of our regulars who were willing to spend full price on our product were frequently between size 0-6 and XS and S. Once in a while we did get the disappointed customer who wondered why we didn't carry their size, but the smaller figured regulars outnumbered the fuller-figured women. When the company did allocate shitloads of XL's and XXL's for men we'd NEVER come close to selling through on them until they went down to $9.

I sometimes thought that Club Monaco would have done better in vancouver had the store carried XXS and 00 like aritzia does, especially in the Vancouver market where there are many small-figured fashion conscious (asian) women with lots of spending money. Keep in mind, Aritzia is a company that started out in Vancouver and expanded eastward. The Vancouver clientele could have had an influence on the sizes that the company decided to carry.

It isn't "fair" for sure, but fairness isn't always the first thing on a company's mind.

lol...No one in this thread has flipped on people for being thin or skinny..I think some people just got offended by a sticker that wasnt trying to offend anyone. I seriously think people are getting worked up for nothing. And there is nothing wrong with a store being dedicated to petites..because YES there are plus size stores.

I had the opposite experience in Aus. I too wore a size 10 or the odd 12 when shopping over there, and found things to fit bigger over there. Also, I found girls to be built bigger over there, and was told over and over that I was too skinny and needed to eat more. ME! Lol...Whereas here, by n.american standards I am conisdered to be curvier than average. And that is totally fine by me. :)

I love Aritizia, and all those crying about not being skinny enough or "asian" (that was my favourite) to wear the clothes ? I'm a size 6 -on a good day- and barely five foot three and I have NO problems fitting the clothes.

My favourite part about this thread is that it has become a skinny/not skinny war. Am I the only one who didnt see a single person complaining about 'not being skinny enough" to shop at aritizia?? I think its more of people taking offense and making a big deal about it.
