I think I had more fun last year, mainly because I think I'm getting too old to party 4 days in a row. If I didn't bring up some ephedrine, I don't think I would've lasted those 4 days. I met some cool people, did way less drugs than last year, got way too little sleep, and heard tons of killer tunes. Electro was pretty much non-existant from what I seen (except for one set); it was actually pretty refreshing to hear some funky house.
Krafty Kuts tore shit up, Bassbin Twins rocked, Smalltown DJs rocked, and whoever played that Electro set was great. There was a guy in the forest (2am-4am I think) who was dropping some killer, killer tracks, but he was probably the worst skilled DJ I'd ever seen. I was in there for about 15 minutes, and in that span he literally went track-to-track with no transition or beatmatching three times. I'm usually a guy who says that would say that I'd rather hear great tracks than great mixing, but this guy was just disturbingly bad. |
