From their webiste "Copyright are a five piece live covers band from the Southampton area of Hampshire." They can't even write properly.

No really, more like checkout Deadmau5, Tocadisco, Noir, Phonique, Mazi, Deep Dish, Steve Aoki, Jim Rivers, etc. Why am I telling you this?

I haven't posted on this site for ages but I just quickly skimmed through this thread and I love all of you. Glad people are getting over the electro thing, nothing wrong with funky basslines at all. House love.

This is the style of house is spin. I have this record. I made a CD of just smooth deep house. If someone could help me figure out how to load it up I would, it has some amazing records on it.

I'm hoping for house to come back to. Electro is fun and I've enjoyed it and will likely continue to enjoy it throughout the year but I like many people here want t3h funky disco to come back!

has the whole world gone mad? people quoting eddie amadour and marshall jefferson like this is actually "good" music? (let's not confuse innovation with quality) claims that MYLO was one of the forefathers of electroclash?! (hello! a little late to the game!) "drop the pressure" acknowledged as anything but a shitty pop anthem?! mylo is a horrible producer (decent dj, mind). let's not get carried away here.

electroclash/electrohouse/tech-house is still going strong. it rules the roost in east london. here's a recent mix from the lovely Cormac, straight out of East London:

People still listen to Speed Garage and UKHH. Doesn't mean it's any good.

Never said Mylo was one of the forefathers of electroclash, where the hell did you get that? I said it was one of the first electroclash anthems. Make no mistake, the genre was around a lot longer than Benny Benassi was (and Mylo didn't even show up until after Satisfaction dropped).

And you're saying that Marshall Jefferson and Eddie Amador are no good? That their music isn't relevant any more? Suuuuuuuure.

what i was suggesting is that innovative music is not necessarily good music. listen to marshall jefferson and todd terry and larry levan and xyz proto-house all you want, but if you're doing it for anything other than a history lesson then frankly you're an idiot. I'll say it explicitly, this kind of music is not relevant any more. electronic music has evolved so far beyond what these "old school" innovators ever offered-- if you think it's fun to throttle around on the dancefloor to "... jack had a groove.." then you clearly have terrible taste or simply lack the ability to recognize current, boundary-pushing music when it's set right in front of you (see cormac set).

If i hear that moronic eddie amadour "..it's a soul thing.. blahblahblah" bull shit one more time then I'm going to puke. fortunately amadour is a brilliant dj but that track is CRAP and for whatever reason it is referenced endlessly by wannabe househeads that clearly have no understanding of the genre.

I think, BTW, that what you are really after is NYC and jersey style GARAGE given that you're after all these silly strings, vocals, even a rhodes piano, I'd imagine. i'll concede that you seem to have a bit of an interest in "house music," something you know very little about, so I hope you'll accept my offer to correct your direction. tonyhumphriesjojofloresfrancoiskevorkian

I'm clearly drunk and being beligerent without justifiable cause so don't take any of this personally. but calling me a troll? whatever trevor. i've never trolled and I've posted under this alias for yonks, a lot longer than you've done the raveyrave boards, ebbomeggawhatever (ha!). look at me, I joined in Dec 2000, i'm so cool. (really, I'm not. if it wasn't clear enough already, I'm a bona fide idiot)
