House music coming back?

I ain't talking the electro shit. Frankly I'm getting sick of it. The only stuff I like anymore is Dance Rock/Rave Rock or the Talking Heads-influenced Disco Punk stuff...

I'm talking about House music. Funky basslines, simple four-on-the-floor percussion, jazz divas and vocalists singing along to an organic-sounding beat.

Well, looks like Will.I.Am is producing it, and Kanye is featured on it:

i must give you credit, that's one of the better sounding house-not-electro tracks i've heard in awhile. house music to me has cooled its jets for the past couple years (im sure others will argue longer).

Even that stuff is a bit heavy... That's like the French House / Filterhaus stuff. I'm talking the stuff that's groovy, soulful and not in-your-face. Not so much rocking out as grooving out. That's what House is about.



Observe how not even a beat into this your head is bobbing. If it's not, you just plain don't get it.

Some nice deep variations, Clay. Reminds me of Shaken Not Stirred at Fiction. Very groovy stuff, only problem is that it's more music that you enjoy a couple of drinks to rather than dance to.

Sorry buddy, you lose. Mylo is exactly what electro is. =P Drop The Pressure was one of the biggest early electroclash anthems, next to Satisfaction.
